I found three body parts that I really want to focus on… the eyes, the heart and the torso! Woohoo! πŸŽ‰ #KidlitZombieWeek

I solemnly swear I’m using my yummy brain to bring a zombie manuscript back to life. #KidLitZombieWeek

You are welcome! Thank you for creating something so delightful! πŸ₯°

I have learned to wait a few weeks before sharing new manuscripts because I inevitably go through a period of time where I am not ready for my perfect, brilliant, work to get a reality check yet! πŸ€£πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚

I am going to take Erin’s advice and play around with my MS on actual paper!

I did the same thing! πŸ˜‚ Fortunately, I worked with an editor who helped me gain a little insight into rhyming and now I don’t write in rhyme! πŸ˜‚

My oh no has been sending queries waaaay too early in the past! What I am doing now to get ready to throw my hat into the ring is listening to critique partners and editing and revising to get my manuscripts into great shape to pass along to my agent (so I can edit and revise more 🀣).

That can be so frustrating when you desperately want to revive a story, but it remains a corpse.

I find myself frustrated with plots sometimes too. I am especially critical of thrillers for some reason. Especially, if I guess the twists and/or ending (sorry thriller writing friends)! #kidlitchat

My ADHD hyper focus always used to kick in when reading. Cleaning, tidying and sorting through mail on the other hand… #kidlitchat

I used to love audio books when I had a long drive to work! Now that I work from home, I have trouble incorporating them! #kidlitchat

Same. I used to fly through books, but now when I have a chance to sit down to read, my brain has trouble focusing. #kidlitchat

I am the same way. I need to work on a bunch of projects, but can only focus on reading one book at a time. #kidlitchat

I relate so much to this. #kidlitchat

I use the free version of Reedsy, which keeps all of my stories visually organized, and then I just open whichever project is calling me. #kidlitchat

I usually have a bunch of projects as well. Although, every once in a while my brain just short circuits and I need a writing break and allow myself to be distracted by other things. #kidlitchat

Sometimes I allow the distractions and go where my attention wants to go. I eventually find my way back to the project with fresh eyes and new ideas. If I am working on a project that has a deadline, I carve out small chunks of time (15 minutes) to force myself to work on it. #kidlitchat
