I'm still here, being all sassy final girl and writing more books, so it worked out in the end.

Joke's on them! As a writer I often don't plot either and my head's still attached (mostly)

I agree re: emotional honesty and proper research when creating characters and worlds. As horror writers, hopefully we aren't writing about horrific events that we personally lived through. #horrorwriterschat

Simple, direct, with a message that resonates. Lovely bit of writing.

I got lucky for a long time with my writing. Struck by lightning and all that. Grateful for it. #horrorwriterschat

I'v had Champagne floats before: Champagne and vanilla ice cream with a dash of orange juice. A perfect anniversary drink?

Here the salmiak cat. It's a special coat mutation named after a kind of Finnish licorice
comment in response to post
If you're there, you'll find licorice in everything. I brought a Finnish friend to the candy store just so I could ask "is there licorice in here?" The answer was, usually, "of course!" Licorice chocolate, licorice chewing gum, licorice hard candies, salted licorice (there's even a cat breed)

I saw licorice ice cream in Finland. It looks like a ball of lint, but is supposedly delicious to licorice fans

That one made me laugh. Great build up. I was intrigued, horrified, and then the punchline.

Not eating it now. Too scared. Well done, you!

Are you sure there's enough chocolate in there? I feel like it needs more #horrorwriterschat
