The heat has arrived in the nations capital. I will now complain obnoxiously about the weather for months.

In 1936, FDR closed out his re-election campaign by bragging to a massive crowd at Madison Square Garden that “organized money” hated him “and I welcome their hatred.” He took 60% of the vote in a 523-8 electoral college landslide. FDR knew having the right enemies could be a useful thing.

We have acres of NPS parkland in our neighborhood that hasn’t been mowed once this year: waist-high grass and weeds, vermin habitat, tick-infested, unusable. But somehow NPS has the resources to “close” an urban park during Pride in the epicenter of the city’s LGBTQ+ community.

This is pitch perfect. She’s so fucking good at this

The craziest thing about this fight between Trump and Elon Musk is that Republicans are trying to take away health care from 16 million people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

I just want to bask in the joy of an incredibly public break up with two of the messiest, most immature and terrible people ever.

This is the best day on social media since Kissinger died

This is a deep cut and I am INTO IT

Trump vs Musk: Can they both lose??

This is the happiest that any of us has been since Nov 5th.

This image from HRC goes so hard

Louis Brandeis said that we can either have democracy in this country or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of the few, but we cannot have both. In 1933. He said it in 1933.

I like this. It’s good for democracy. Markey is a good public servant and it’s gonna be an uphill battle, but maybe this will encourage others to challenge in other states.

How many days until my laptop goes Terminator on my head?

Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo is such a great subversive anthem.

Spotted in DC: A woman wearing a t shirt that reads: Feeling Great Again And I have so many thoughts, none of them good.

If either of these two had an original idea in their brains it would be lonely

Bessent fucking knows better. This is for an audience of one

Hypothetically if a bookstore was having a big sale because they’re about to do a renovation, buying some cookbooks (that I absolutely need) is helping them out, right?

With a straight face you’re gonna tell Harvard, literally HARVARD, that they don’t have their act together? Ok Jan
