Yes as soon as Danny said Wakefield I was like "OMG Michelle is going to love this." 😂

Listening to how Julian experienced that as a child and his mother's reaction as well was the hardest hitting part of the story. It was clearly one of the most traumatic nights of their life and I really felt for them both. I agree that counselling may have made things turn out very differently

I think it may be my top episode. It was disturbing and moving. I agree that it is fascinating that our brains may create these figures when subjected to emotional trauma but also really terrifying.

The part of my brain that remembers anything from my anatomy degree was thrilled with this one.
The sceptic in me celebrated having guessed this may be a potential cause before Ciaran mentioned it 😂

I wondered this. Or simply he has blocked out the memory due to the grief he was experiencing. I know Bridget suggested something similar on the show. To me what the mind can achieve is often far more interesting than attributing something to a ghost / paranormal

Loved Bridget's contributions (and not just because of her lovely West Country accent).

It was a difficult watch on an emotional level wasn't it. I really feel for Julian and he is incredibly brave to tell his story in the way he did.

Fwiw my sceptical explanation is that Julian was experiencing grief and trauma that clearly led to sleep deprivation. Those combined with various coincidences have been pieced together to create a terrifying experience. That is not intended to diminish his story in any way. A very brave witness 👏

It was really moving to see Julian have some closure after the conversation with the current resident of the house.

Could explain a vibration being caused at roughly the same time every night. Some of the goods trains we get travelling though West Yorkshire such as the Drax trains travel at high speeds and are absolutely huge so could potentially cause significant vibrations

So glad to hear that! What Julian went through is truly awful (even as a sceptic, those experiences are real no matter the cause). I know the team are brilliant so would have put this in place. This episode really felt like one where that professional support would be needed.

3. Julian mentioned in post-mortem "seeing to the dogs" before leaving for the night. Were there dogs in the house? If so could they account for some of the noises heard? Particularly if misinterpreted by a sleep-deprived Julian

2. Crofton is on a train line. Picking up Ciaran's comment about vibrations, have you checked the timetables for heavy goods trains (such as the Drax trains) and whether they pass near Crofton at around 2:11am?

Not sure what the explanation might be but what happened to those children was truly tragic. And my god even though I was bracing myself for a jump scare it's still taken me a full ten minutes to recover

A handy guide for all the Trumpanzees twisting themselves into a pretzel to explain

You were so good. I think "definitely a ghost" is going to be a new Uncanny catchphrase 👻

It's my favourite musical and I always seem to see it around my birthday (debating getting tickets this year to see it in Manchester). I want to go see the film again ASAP though because it is so good!

So bloody excited! (but not so excited about the early start to get down to London 😂)
