Definitely poor planning on SOMEONE's part.

If you can, volunteer. Whether it's with social programs, political, environmental, health care, arts, etc. Get out of the home and be hands on in your community. If you cannot, but have the monetary means, donate to one or more of these causes. Otherwise stay informed and alert.

Is it customary to send a follow-up 'thinking of you' or 'in memory of her' card? If so, when? Like at the Aunt's bday (next Feb) or death anniversary date next summer? 2/2

My fallback games: Fallout (4 or 3), Minecraft (Java mostly), Final Fantasy (I rotate between fav's), Valheim, Elder Scrolls, Sims (3 or 4), Elden Ring and Resident Evil franchise.
And if I'm REALLY stressed? Minesweeper. I zone out and race through Minesweeper. Fascinates my family. Helps me chill

Thank you for still wanting to keep your strong efforts going. I don't blame folk for getting overwhelmed though. It's TOUGH out there, and going to get tougher.

It may. If not cloud gaming specifically, at least more digital purchases (not to own but to license, apparently).

I think you've succinctly expressed a view that many of us are experiencing right now in BlueSky. Cheers!

Diabolically clever to add catnip. I might have to steal that great idea.

You might enjoy checking out the film Lamb (2021) and Pan's Labyrinth. I suppose you might consider them more horror/fantasy as opposed to folk horror, but worth checking out if you haven't already. Have fun with your great list.

Totally. I've seen free patterns of crochet snowflakes and other holiday themed imagery (Santa, gingerbread houses, snowmen, bells, angels, etc.) and I think you could make some pretty great crochet gift toppers. I was thinking of trying to make simple candy canes myself. We'll see how it goes. :)

What kind of yarn did you use for the cat toy? My cat seems indifferent to acrylic but goes absolutely cray-cray for wool based yarns. (Maybe he can still smell the sheep? lol)

Maybe create ornaments? Lion Brand has free patterns. I like this one, it's for a mini stocking banner but you could just use the mini stocking part to create individual decorations and then create a loop to attach to a gift.

Very, very understandable. I'm just dipping my toes in BlueSky right now. I'm too old to fuck around with nonsense.

Yes, they did a phenomenal job at the Dead Space remake. Very well done.

I love that you came out ahead in this situation for just being a decent person. May we all be blessed with platypus stickers one day. :)
