I wish if they weren’t going to do a lot of precons, they’d do like archetype packs so you can have a sense of connection with the races without having to draft. For example I read the story I buy an archetype pack relating to the edge angels and their companions

To be fair they should start releasing some Legendary Vehicles erattad for commander with Partners with any of X character. So like with this you’d be able to partner with Breeches, Malcom, Vraska. Weatherlight insert random crewmate. The rule should be if your vehicle is destroyed so is ur partner.

Yeah the monuments. I think that’s a testament to how little I wanted to play them. Idk if the CMC on the monuments is a better value, but I’ve been dying for another choice so these are nice to see. Like you said I don’t think are must haves for every color, but they’re sick for the niche.

I dont think the story is ever lazy, there’s a lot of world building that goes into sets that have shown not to be that great and attract even the sorest of Vorthos to participate in the build up. MTG IP is just so much more important than it ever has been imo so that story thread is delicate
