Puffins. Due to changes in fishing quotas, which I don't claim to understand, there are more eels knocking around, resulting in either more puffins or fatter ones.

Ok. I'm not on the guest list. But 18th Century Parisian salons were somewhat Tea and Coffee based. Is this gig on licenced premises? The punters need to know. Regards.

Yrs back, Man Utd had a 3rd kit like Sheff Wed. The names of 100 all-time greats were woven into the fabric. Except for Roger Byrne, club captain, captain of England who died in the Munich disaster. Rather begged the Q what you had to do to get on the shirt. Somehow, Carlo Sartori did.

I'm in. Better be good. Rgds.

Impressive. Personally, I would only consider doing it outside in a park with an Air Ambulance on standby.

Definitely odd. He's following 116 people + Bluesky. Over 110 are female. I accept they could all be journalists working for CNN, on the other hand...

In 2016 the Daily Mail ran a front page article about 3 judges who had ruled the UK Gov'ment would require the consent of Parliament to give notice of Brexit. The headline was Enemies of the People. The slogan of the Leave campaign was Take Back Control, which as a result has left us up shit creek.

Modern day take on Dylan's Wicked Messenger. If you cannot bring good news, then don't bring any.

Wow! Thank you, Anne, much appreciated.

Well, who knew that! Not me, obvs. I grew up in Chadderton and AVROS (down past the Gardeners Arms) was a big deal. I will now be in radio silence as I'm about to go off and see us get beat by Villa.

What a great photo!

In my ignorance, I'm translating that as The Old Rattler. How wrong am I?

Great work! Dead impressed.

Great photos, Anne. The moody one, bottom right, do you know where that's from?

Needs saying! From Brexit to Trump, through to Project 25, this is the objective. It was Palantir who said Democracy and Freedom were incompatible. By freedom, he meant the ability to make money without oversight, regulation, or any concept of the civic good.

As it's Bob's birthday, I feel duty bound to point out that posting on Twixter is a cross between pissing and Blowing in the Wind.

Taking the dark out of the nighttime and painting the daytime black. If only he was 50 years younger. In these Times, he would have a field day.

If only they had four more years and a 165 majority. Their defining characteristic is timidity.

Sam, that was so succinct that I'm not sure I understood. Are there not enough MPs? Enough, but lacking in determination? Enough, but the govmnt machine always wins? Let the lumpen proletariat know. It's a real cliffhanger Rgds.

Johnson's speechyfing shtick reminds me of my mothers verdict. He ran stuff up a rhetorical flagpole just to see if anyone was daft enough to salute it.

That's what I call a proper studs-up two-footed tackle. I think his referree will see nothing wrong with it.

It would be good if you could. Despite the fact that you're not my favourite team, you are a proper football club, unlike the 115s. In a perfect world, I'd like to think that next season, they'll be playing in the Northern Premier league.

As finals go, that was almost as good as last year's. Plus, pre KO Wayne called it.

If only we had a government with a 170 seat majority and 4 years to do what they want.

Always knew Bob was a prophet.... Guardian carried a story 2 yrs ago about an American coming to the UK for Easter. She spent the London/Manchester train journey sat on the floor. Her fellow travellers apologised, asked when she was going home, googled return options &said get the bus. Happy NTD.

So true.I live in Manchester UK. Friedrich Engels lived here from 1842/45. A city of wealth, poverty and exploitation of the workers. In my city, he wrote The Condition of the Working Class. But as my local tourist board would say, things have improved. A UNESCO city, for libraries, thx Engels

A tangential response; an upside of being my age is that there's little in politics that doesn't lend itself to a lyric. Farage, Johnson and Gove bet the farm. To quote The Band (Makes No Difference), 'Cause like the gambler says, read 'em and weep' The song makes no reference to treason.

👍 A subtle Dylan reference. "somethin' there is about you, that I can't quite put my finger on."

I shall certainly listen tomorrow afternoon. Sunday's a no-no. West Ham at home. Don't take it personal. Rgds.

If you must drag us Keith's into this, at least spell our name correctly.

Another Man Utd fan pipes up. The league was won by a proper football club. Klopp left the team in a better state than he found it, and Slot took them a step further. They won it in style, which is more than the 115s ever did.
