It's not as far-fetched as one might think. Powell's term is up next year, we could easily see Trump naming himself Fed chairman and then replacing the 12 Fed District presidents with hand-picked lackeys, just like RFK, Jr has done with the vaccine council. Don't think it couldn't happen.
