I’ve read the article and have had similar experiences with people around me. They confuse price levels and inflation all the time. Of course they cite conservative media as their sources. But the main issue here is not that they can’t understand it, it’s that they want to put you down/owning libs

@chrislhayes.bsky.social , what are the laws and rules about political advertising at this time? Can ads run now through the next election showing exactly what trump and Congressional Republicans say vs what they do? Can the floor speeches be made into ads?

Sounds like he’s doing a good job of calling out Gingrich’s and Jordan’s hypocrisy.

Does anyone know if Musk has been granted a waiver for these tariffs?

In an emailed statement, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said the agency "appreciates and respects" the federal court's decision to not require immediate installation of air conditioning.

@georgetakei.bsky.social , honest question; I heard that you and shatner were not friends and at one time hostile towards each other. Have you two settled the grudge or just moved on to something like indifference towards each other?

It’s a given that other governments are monitoring all the trump officials and their devices. I more concerned with what they have already picked up from them. I can only hope that this display of incompetence will change their behavior to make OpSec a priority.

I hear a lot of potential violations of law. I know that the trump administration will not do anything though. Are they able to be investigated in the next administration?

Honestly, this should be on billboards everywhere in MAGA country. Let that percolate for a while.

No no! You’re thinking of Steve Ducey. I’m talking about a real journalist who has integrity, honesty, and accountability. You know, those things you lack!

If this were a democratic administration, Hegseth would never have been a thought for the job. Regardless if he should resign, I seriously doubt that will happen as long as trump is happy with him. If he leaves, that reflects on trump and he will double down before that happens.

I’m concerned about the potential (and probable) espionage implications in the event any of their cell phones have been hacked. I am also wondering just how much information they relay this way. Doesn’t this violate the record keeping laws?

I have a apple phone and it is on my news feed. The link was supposed to be the gift article. Let me try again www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

@maddow.msnbc.com , did you read the piece that just dropped on The Atlantic about how Jeff Goldberg was added to a signal chat with the trump cabinet? H o l y 💩

I’m concerned about the Rushmore bill, creating new $250 bill, and his face on money bill. Those will actually cost time, resources, and money to accomplish. Making his birthday a national holiday and renaming an airport is meaningless. It can be changed fairly easily and not cause as much harm.

Holy shit!! That is a scary image!!

Corruption. Corruption is how you give a US defense contractor with deep ties to China access to highly classified information regarding war plans against China. Musk also has deep ties with Russia, what information has he been given that Putin is interested in?

@weeklyshowpodcast.bsky.social, Jon, with all the people you have access to and the information of their expertise, have you been involved in writing legislation for any of the topics you discuss on your shows?

PROVE IT!! Talk is meaningless, what are you actually doing about it!

Honestly, every time I see something like this I am reminded of the quote: You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.

Isn’t this all part of the plan to rewrite history to suit their narrative? If you ask Americans about its history, most will not know much more than cowboys and Indians. And the little they do know is brief news clips of events, not the real story behind them. This is their plan.

@barbmcquade.bsky.social , if you get the opportunity, could you please explain how black letter law is twisted to serve the MAGA agenda/project 2025 plan? Why does the judge not just declare their position illegal if the law does not support them?

Wait till he actually gets to know him. There’s a reason why so many of Musk’s kids do t want anything to do with him.

How soon do you think the right wing media will take to spin this story into how all democrats want illegals voting? 5…4…3…2…1…

Up to the GOP destroying the government. The American people would actually see just how much they rely on the government for everything even if it was not perfect. No, I think Mr Schumer should step down. But that will not happen.
comment in response to post
I understand Schumer’s rationale for his, and his block of Dems, voting in favor of the GOP CR. I think he is wrong. If the Gov was shut down, the havac Vought would have enacted would shine a light so bright that this was the GOPs intended plan all along. Dems would have looked to be standing

@jerradchristian.bsky.social , do you have a schedule of events that you can share so that we, the public, can make arrangements to attend? I, for one, would like to meet you and see who you are.

Translation: The Biden plan was working. People were still complaining but they were still spending money. Now everything is going in the toilet. People are freaking the freak out and the economy is tanking.

I believe that has been their (all conservatives) playbook for decades now. Not just SCOTUS Cons.

@mjsdc.bsky.social, I’m hearing a lot of talk how republicans on the hill are wringing their hands over trump’s rhetoric about impeaching judges. 1. Do you see any possibility of this happening? 2. Is trump’s nomination of loyalist judges likely to be confirmed?
