Montana has lost a legend. Pat Williams rose from Butte with a deep faith in ordinary people and carried that belief from the Montana statehouse to a record tenure in Congress. His populist spirit defined an era. May his memory be a blessing and an inspiration for the future. 🙏

From the 10th Cavalry stationed at Fort Assinniboine, to trailblazers like nurse and writer Rose B. Gordon, Black Montanans have shaped our state’s story. Today we honor that legacy and recommit to the unfinished work of freedom. #Juneteenth #MontanaHistory #FreedomDay mhs.mt.gov/pubs/MMWHDig...

Juneteenth calls us to understand the realities of our past, celebrate the resilience and achievements of Black Americans, and align the course of our country toward its founding creed of liberty and justice for all. Wishing everyone a meaningful Juneteenth!

Walz: "This cannot be the norm. It cannot be the way that we deal with our political differences. Now is the time for us to recommit to the core values of this country ... Talk to a neighbor rather than arguing. Debate an issue. Shake hands. Find common ground. This is who Melissa Hortman was."

This isn’t about our political parties anymore. This is about whether we stand up to authoritarianism.

Thanks to the communities who showed up across the state! From Libby to Glendive and Billings to Missoula, we say #NoKings in #Montana!

This is not the time to retreat to our little corners. That's exactly what the authoritarians want us to do. We can unite across #Montana to defeat Daines, Downing and Zinke in 2026, retake power in the House and Senate and bring back rule of law. #ReillyforMontana #ForthePeople reillyformontana.com

Today they have crossed a deep red line. We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

Kootenai Falls is one of Montana’s most powerful places. 🌊 The awesome scope of nature in wild places humbles us and reminds us we are privileged to live on this landscape. This is what we fight for when we say “public lands.” #ReillyForMontana #KeepItWild #TreasureState

Near Libby, Montana, the Cabinet Mountains rise like a prayer. This is the kind of beauty Montanans wake up to and what we'd fight to protect. #PublicLands are a right, not a privilege. Let’s keep them wild, open, and ours. #CabinetMountains #ReillyForMontana #TreasureState

What the hell, #Montana? This legislation should have been unanimous. These are the NO votes in the 2025 session for recognition of #IndigenousPeoplesDay in Montana, a state with seven reservations and 12 federally-recognized tribes. #VoteThemOut #mtpol #mtnews

Montanans don’t have the money or political clout to challenge billionaires using our resources for profit. Even if a billionaire breaks with Trump, they still pose a threat when they bend rules to serve themselves, not the public. #Montana or #Memphis #JustSayNo to billionaires. #ReillyforMontana

In #Montana, we teach our kids to respect the land. Public access to public lands is our legacy and Montanans should never be priced out of it. #PublicLandsForAll #ReillyForMontana #TreasureState

The list is long. Hundreds of federal programs have been frozen, gutted, or eliminated in Montana. This is crippling our economy and exposing our people. Daines has done nothing. No defense of #Montana. No objection to Trump’s sabotage. Just silence. 🤐 www.reillyformontana.com/post/montana...

Montana’s agriculture sector is reliant on trade with 🇨🇦. Trump's tariffs have now disrupted trade relationships and caused crop prices to plummet, triggering billions in economic losses. Daines knew these tariffs were illegal. He did nothing for #Montana. #ReillyforMontana #FairTrade #FarmersFirst

Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” is not a budget. It’s a buzzsaw. It cuts Medicaid, SNAP and care for Veterans. It defunds reproductive healthcare. Daines calls it beautiful. I call it a betrayal. Read what it means for #Montana ↓ #mtpol #mtnews

Overhauling wildfire response to serve Sheehy’s private interests will do more harm than good. Communities rely on publicly-funded fire services, not profit-driven corporations, to protect homes and lives. The better path is deep investment in what’s already working in #Montana.

This is not the time to wait and see what happens next. The time to act is now. Organize now. Build your networks now. Talk to your neighbors, your communities now. Every effort counts. Every voice matters. We won’t get a second chance at this. #Montana

Ryan Zinke is quick to celebrate the removal of provisions targeting millions of acres in NV and UT from the “Big Beautiful Bill” legislation. Don’t let the headlines fool you. This big, bad bill still poses serious threats to public lands in #Montana and across the country.

We should be investing in rural communities and making them better places to build a life & raise a family - not shutting down rural hospitals by choking off their funding. Saving rural hospitals is one more reason to call your Representative and speak out against this GOP attempt to cut Medicaid.

"For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People." This promise etched in stone in the Roosevelt Arch still rings true. Our public lands are not for sale or private gain. Yellowstone is a global treasure, a cornerstone of Montana’s outdoor economy and a symbol of what we must protect, not plunder.🦬

Why is Steve Daines lying about gas prices? Here’s the truth: 📉 U.S. production down 🌍 OPEC flooding market with cheap oil 🇺🇸 Increased imports due to cost, not drilling limits ⛽ Gas in Montana over $3/gal Montanans deserve facts, not political spin.

This bad bill in D.C. isn’t about “more jobs and less government.” It’s about fewer jobs, more suffering, and a mountain of federal red tape dumped on Montana’s working families and their kids.

I've been on the ground in Grass Range, Butte, Anaconda, and Deer Lodge listening to Montanans. We've had tough conversations and plenty of hopeful ones, too. I hear the same top concern across Montana: affordable housing is out of reach. We must deliver solutions. #mtpol

Last night in Lewistown, I witnessed something that restored my faith in our republic. At a packed public meeting, USAF officials briefed the community on the rollout of the Sentinel Program, a once-in-a-generation modernization of system that forms a critical pillar of America’s nuclear deterrent.

Breaking news from MT: "After a decade-long fight between Republican state lawmakers and members of Montana’s American Indian Caucus, the state of Montana — home to 12 tribes and seven reservations — will now recognize Indigenous Peoples Day. " montanafreepress.org/2025/05/09/b...

Go peddle talking points somewhere else, Steve Daines. Here in #Montana, we’re not asking about someone’s definition of “woke.” We’re asking where the fire crews are, why our hospitals can’t keep their doors open, how our grain is supposed to move when Trump’s trade war shut down half our markets.

For more than a decade, Cape Air has helped Montana communities connect to global air travel, medical care and community through the federal Essential Air Service (EAS) program. Trump and Daines want to put a stop to this lifeline for rural Montanans. #mtnews #mtpol

On the ground this week in #Montana we've hear the same concern from Great Falls to Glendive: the administration in D.C. promised lower egg and fuel prices, promised an end to the war in Ukraine. Trump lied. Montanans are demanding action from elected officials. We won't back down.

🩺 “How do I come up with $400 for the Eliquis I have to have?” At a Great Falls roundtable, one story about needing life-saving heart medication stopped the room. In #Montana and across the nation, folks are now being forced to ration prescriptions. We’re listening and bringing these voices forward.

Hard to sleep tonight. What Trump did today should rattle every American who believes in the Constitution. We’ve never used the military for law enforcement except in moments of total crisis — until now. This is different—and dangerous. #mtnews #mtpol

If we radically listen, build stronger and fight harder, we can steer the conversation about our future back to Montanans, not just the few with the megaphones or power. That’s what our roundtables are all about.
Listening.
 Learning.
 Organizing.
Building a movement that reflects everyone. #mtpol

Steve Daines took an oath to defend the Constitution. Instead, he stands by while Trump attacks our courts, jails our judges, and shreds the rule of law. Cowardice isn’t leadership. #Montana deserves better. #mtnews #mtpol

In trade retaliation, China slapped a tariff on U.S. soybeans. Now they’ve vowed to stopped buying from U.S. producers. 135% tariffs on Montana soybeans means China pays more in penalties than the crop is worth—no wonder they walked away. Steve Daines doesn't give a damn about #Montana.

Walz: "This is how government is supposed to work. It's not supposed to be one old man in the Oval Office sending out middle of the night tweets that shock markets into free fall. It's not supposed to be a bunch of 20 somethings unelected and firing everyone. It's not supposed to be chaos."

At battlefields like Little Bighorn and Big Hole, reduced staffing risks turning sites of deep historical meaning into silent, unmarked fields — without storytellers, without ceremony, without understanding.

A portion of the April 19 rally in #Butte #Montana #HandsOff #MTpol #50501movement

Montana farmers and ranchers deserve policies that strengthen rural economies, not policies that hollow them out. Rubber-stamping Trump’s chaotic agenda is not the same thing as supporting Montana agriculture. It’s not leadership. It’s cowardice.

Our courts are not partisan battlegrounds. They are the guardians of fairness, due process, and constitutional balance. #mtpol #mtlaw #mtnews

"Oligarchy or democracy? We cannot have both!" Rallies spark momentum for what we do next. Here are five meaningful actions you can take this week to turn that momentum into real impact: www.reillyformontana.com/post/after-t...

I've been a Dem on the ground in deep red districts in #Montana for months, just like Tim Walz, AOC, and Sen. Sanders are doing now. We have to show up everywhere. We have to listen. We have to care. #mtpol #mtnews

If we’ve learned anything from the Great Fire of 1910, it’s that ignoring risk leads to tragedy. That fire killed 86 people and burned 3 million acres. It forced the creation of modern federal fire policy. Now, we're watching that progress unravel.

We are facing a well-funded, coordinated effort to undermine American democracy, dismantle public education, strip away healthcare, and divide our communities. After powerful moments like this, we must follow through with clear, strategic action. www.reillyformontana.com/post/top-ten...
