The Windrush generations were proudly British. Yet immigrants are still fighting to be seen that way | Diane Abbott

Zarah Sultana, "What we're seeing a re-rerun of the 2003 Iraq playbook" "The same institutions that told us it was right to go into Iraq are doing the same thing again" "This is wrong" "The UK should not be America's poodle in it's imperialist foreign policy"

Piers Morgan, "What Israel has been doing in the last few months in Gaza" "Starving already impoverished, war-torn, innocent civilians. Women. Children" "And then, as they queue up, desperate for the small amounts of food coming in, Israelis opening fire on Palestinians"

🔴The Right Kind of Bias How the BBC’s decision to pull a documentary about Israeli war crimes in Gaza shows how its enforcement of 'impartiality' almost always benefits just one side www.adambienkov.co.uk/p/the-right-...

The UK really does need to rejoin the EU. We used to have so much global influence as a leader of a continental superpower. Now look at us, nothing but a limp biscuit in the face of global chaos. EU was such a global stabiliser when we were all united.

Putin today again said that he wants all of Ukraine. I do not know how many times he said it by now, but every time he says it I just become increasingly frustrated knowing how many public figures here in the West deny he wants that or that it is the cause of this war EVEN THOUGH HE KEEPS SAYING IT!

Peace Diest Fundamentalism

Don’t - and I can’t state this strongly enough - EVER get on one of that twat’s rockets…

Dear Mark Carney, thank you for bringing us together in Canada. It's good to be among trusted partners. This week we strengthen G7 unity. Next week we open a new era in our strategic partnership at our 🇪🇺🇨🇦 Summit. With a major step on security and defence cooperation.

I wonder how much of the "London is less safe than 15 years ago" discourse is driven by people who used to be young now being old

❤️ if you're furious at how @cnn.com is legitimizing Trump's desire to abuse his power and implement Martial law just because people oppose his Authoritarian policies.

As a working person, I say fuck Rachel Reeves's constant focus on "working people" rather than the needy, the disabled, the old, the young or the sick. What is the point of Labour if they are just going to parrot Tory bullshit? #SpringStatement

What a day! What a glorious day!

"Currently, of the EU27 countries, Britain is 14th in terms of the number of people who seek asylum in the UK. The fact of the matter is, no politician anymore is prepared to say Wales & Britain is the great country that it is because of centuries of immigration... we should be proud of it" #r4today

We want to make sure Rachel Reeves MP sees some important % and ££s: 🇬🇧 80% of UK millionaires support a 2% tax on wealth over £10m 🇬🇧 81% think it’s patriotic to pay their fair share We’re proud to pay and here to stay #taxthesuperrich #taxwealthnotwork

Perfect.

Some good Pride news y'all

The government bent over backward to hand Thames Water over to KKR. Now they've pulled out and Thames only has cash to operate until the end of the month. Water for 16 million people is now at risk all over a £27,000 donation?

It's called the Dunning Kruger effect. But sometimes it's known as dumbfuckery.

Oh my god I don’t give a flying fuck. It’s never NOT amazing to me that the same people who tell us there’s no such thing as society & you’re on your own are so desperate to cling to a group identity when it comes to race/nationality.

For kids in the back who may not have heard this the first thousand times: If strangers keep telling you to buy an asset that can make you rich the only question to ask is, why they are telling me this instead of quietly buying the asset themselves? #Crypto #EconSky #Ponzi

Just as a matter of interest, Rachel Reeves didn’t make any ‘difficult decisions’. Nothing in this is difficult for her. Difficult decision are made by poor people every day. And by doctors. And soldiers. And so on. Politicians aren’t in that position, and they know it.

This is how he kicks off Pride Month? What a fucking dick. Homophobe Hegseth Orders Navy to Strip Name of Gay Rights Icon Harvey Milk from Ship.

Today, Bulgaria is one step closer to adopting the euro. This will mean more investment and trade with euro area partners, and more stability and prosperity for the Bulgarian people. Bulgaria will also take its rightful place in shaping euro area decisions. Congratulations! → europa.eu/!cgqxyQ

Pride Month so far: Jonathan Joss is murdered in a disgusting hate crime and the Navy intentionally announces they are changing the name of the USNS HARVEY MILK. America... now more than ever... David Lynch's words ring loudly. "Fix your hearts or die." This cannot be our normal.

Thames Water is a monopoly with 16 million trapped customers. Yet KKR – a predatory private equity firm – doesn't even want to own it. If public ownership isn't the answer and private investors won't invest, then maybe Steve Reed has no idea what he's doing.

See The Likeness?

A reminder: The ‘costs’ of the employment rights bill include giving low paid workers the right to sick pay from day one. How many execs or senior managers in the big outsourcing companies who signed this letter have to worry about paying the bills if they take a day off sick?
