I think the primary reason to never use it in an academic manner is because it will invent sources (and citing is vital!) and its use of creative language has no real human motivation or intent behind it so that makes its writing very shallow and impersonal and kind of pointless

As someone who doesn't watch the Hellaverse, a version of this happened with AMC's IWTV, where fans got so attached to their obvious red flag ship as something wholesome that there was months-long drama (that hasn't 100% gone away) across several definitive reveals, so yes this is fan culture now ðŸ˜

Do people dislike it? I thought it was fine/enjoyable despite being pretty short and not like Super Awesome (I played it right before I played Disco Elysium, my GOAT, so it got overshadowed big time but I still feel no negativity towards it)

Cassian is consistently likeable but I liked him a lot more near the end of S2 because he knows he has to do what he has to do (because it leads directly into Rogue One!) so the very human reluctance he sometimes feels to the cause turns into determination and it's great to watch

First time I watched it I super liked the Asian force monk and his more shoot-y bestie on the strength of two scenes lmao, but I agree the movie sort of fails at setting up any real stakes and context for the characters besides maybe Jyn
