Seriously. It's 100% phrasing. I don't think "war" would be popular, but the comments section in my local newspaper is full of folks who love them some bombing of Iran. Same people also don't seem to think that counts as war.

It wasn't even Twitter, it was his bargain-basement, Trump-branded imitation of Twitter.

I was surprised that the Seahawks didn't post anything, as they have in the past, so looked around. I'm not on every platform, but could only find something on LinkedIn of all places.

Again, words have meaning.

Before I refute any of those things, I want you to actually look up what percentage "professional sports" plays in any of those sectors and report back on it. I'll wait...
If you honestly believe that professional sports "drives" pricing for all food and beverages, you're delusional.

Words have meaning. For example, your literally said it was a "leading" cause. It's clearly not. Also, at no point did I ever say it had "no impact," I simply contend that you could almost pick any other area/industry and find greater drivers of inflation.

I think there's a very good reason many people don't realize that professional sports, which amounts to about 1% of the GDP, is a "leading cause" of inflation: because it's not.
You literally could have picked almost any other sector at random and made a stronger point.

Both dudes grabbing Lander have what *could* be badges attached to their belts. Maybe. I've seen tons of plainclothes LEOs wear badges on their belts, but they're required to tuck their shirts in so that they are visible and identifiable. Like the masks, untucking only serves to obfuscate.

One would think, but it's merely coded speech so that fellow travelers will instantly recognize her as not only Godly, but also politically inclined to impose her religious values on others (and, claim oppression when the rest of us deny that imposition).

I say this as someone who is much closer than AOC to 67 years old: 67 is old, David.
I'm not saying politicians north of standard retirement age are no longer relevant, or even that I wouldn't vote for them, but let's not kid ourselves into believing they're spring chickens.

It's absolutely unbelievabl that security in a federal office building which has an office for a US Senator would not know the Senator by sight. That federal officers in that building also wouldn't know him is troubling. But, for them to continue manhandling him after identifying himself is absurd.

Whoa, I think someone's projecting. . .
Also, protest crowds like this are usually pretty clear about what they want (hint: they're usually chanting it), you don't much have to guess.

So, you don't know what "violence" or "mostly" mean, but you gotta keep pressing your agenda? Got it.
Just FYI, having green hair, yelling mean slogans, being generally annoying, and inconveniencing LEOs is not actual violence. But, pushing people & throwing them to the ground is.
comment in response to

I didn't see what the protestors did that was violent. Are they the hefty, middle-aged gents in masks getting all pushy and grabby with everyone in this video? I thought those were the law enforcement officers, but it's often so hard to tell these days. . .

Our boss keeps "encouraging" the department to use it but 90% of what we do contains sensitive client information. Like, I'm happy it helped her save time "writing" that speech to the local Rotary club, but we have government contracts--which we can't afford to lose--at stake if it goes ass up.

No, they're doing it correctly. If you divide the total amount by the average monthly rent, you'd get the total number of months one could rent an average apartment. If you then divide this by the number of months in a year, you'd get the total number of apartments/year that could be rented.

And, don't think I haven't noticed that some of these MAGA goons fly their giant Trump flags above the US flag.

Seriously, just on the drive to visit my mom, I'll pass more Trump flags than American flags. . . Which is truly impressive when I've things about how many American flags one sees on a daily basis.

Is your position actually helping anything?
The dismissiveness you're demonstrating towards the folks who did know better, who knew from the jump that this would be the result, while making excuses for those (very few) Trump voters with buyer's remorse isn't the coalition builder you think it is.

Tom's an extremely intelligent man. Indeed, he's someone with whom people in power should consult on a number of important topics. However, when it comes to electoral politics, his insights for Democrats are limited and generally undermined by his unrelenting smugness.

Then, Tom gets to criticize Democrats for not standing up to Trumpism.

They like pretending to be ignorant of the consequences of their actions/votes. They'll also repeatedly proclaim how sad they are about the very real, negative personal impact of Trump--and the GOP in general--and continue to vote for them. They want this, they just don't want the blame.

Mine are: "It's nice to be nice to the nice," (with my kids) and, "Ah, Bach" (when I don't know what someone's talking about).
Also, I still find ways to work in references to "meatball surgery" when convincing coworkers that we're just trying to get something done, not done well.

This truly is pathetic. I seriously doubt the introspection you need will ever come, but if it does, this and the Hillary bullshit from '16 should be the stuff that keeps you up at night wondering when it was that you became a fraud. But, again, it won't happen.

I remember letting my dog swim in Rock Creek once, him being sick for a week, and necessitating a vet visit. When I told her we'd let him into the water in Rock Creek Park, she immediately said, "Oh no, don't do that again!"
