First they illegally deport citizens. Then they unleash ICE to terrorize communities. Now they’ve got the National Guard in L.A. to silence protestors. This ain’t about law and order. This is what authoritarianism looks like.

The GOP broke the law to deport this man—then decided to indict him. Court order? Ignored. Due process? Tossed. Now they want credit for “law and order”? Chile, please. Y’all did the process completely backwards. This is Trump’s America: lawless, reckless, and cruel.

Today is Gun Violence Awareness Day.
I stood with my colleagues in orange to honor the many lives stolen by gun violence and demand action.
We’re done with thoughts and prayers.
We want change.

I’m saddened to hear about yet another shooting—this time, right here in TX-30—that has left multiple people injured. I am monitoring the situation closely and staying in contact with our local officials.

Watching Trump and Elon fall out is like watching two thieves argue over who got caught on camera. Newsflash: it was both of y’all.

Weird how Republicans say they’re worried about Big Tech and government overreach...until it’s Elon Musk. We tried to subpoena him over privacy concerns and data abuse. They blocked us. They’re not doing oversight—they’re doing cover-ups.

This morning, Democrats tried to subpoena Elon Musk so he could answer to the American people. But instead of standing with us, Republicans spent about 30 minutes scrambling to shut down debate and protect their favorite billionaire.

We’re in the DOGE Subcommittee hearing, but where’s Elon? Is the “oversight” in the room with us?
Republicans wanted to talk about NGOs and Stacey Abrams. But, Trump’s out here slapping a for sale sign on the White House lawn—and y’all wanna play games?

“One Big Beautiful Bill”? Try one big, bold-faced lie. They swore this mess wouldn’t add to the deficit…but the nonpartisan budget office says otherwise. $2.4 TRILLION added to the deficit—and for what? Tax cuts for the rich.

Trump is shutting down Job Corps—kicking vulnerable young people out of housing, job training, and education programs with zero plan. Don’t tell me this man gives a damn about the working class when he’s gutting the very programs that help folks get on their feet.

Hate is on the rise—and it’s showing up in ways that should alarm every single one of us. We’re seeing violent attacks targeting people for who they are, what they believe, or how they choose to live. That’s unacceptable. (1/2)

I’m officially running to be the Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee. These are not normal times—and this cannot be a business-as-usual moment. Read my full letter to my colleagues here: crockett.house.gov/media/press-...

MAGA’s new motto: punish the poor, protect the powerful. Trump and his crew are pushing work requirements for food, housing, and healthcare—while handing out tab breaks to billionaires. If they really cared about “fraud”, they’d start with their own damn tax returns.

Wait WHAT?! People are bracing for storms and this man just found out the weather exists?! This is what happens when you hire vibes over qualifications.

Consent decrees save lives. They protect rights. They hold systems accountable. I alongside @repsummerlee.bsky.social and Rep. Lucy McBath are leading the charge demanding the DOJ reinstate these decrees—because our communities deserve more than thoughts and prayers.

Happy Pride! I’m proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ fam in TX-30 and beyond. In the face of attacks, y’all keep showing up. Loud, proud, and unshakable. Your rights, your joy, and your lives matter. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

The Court just ruled Trump’s global tariffs were “ultra vires” and “contrary to law.” Translation? He made it all up. No authority. Just vibes and ego. This is what happens when you let a wannabe authoritarian play president.

Elon came to Washington thinking he could run the government like one of his companies—firing people left and right, gutting essential services, and tearing this shit up from the ground up.

Oh, so now we care about what people post on social media? Wild how student visas are getting paused for a vibe check, but some of y’all have been posting red flags for years and still got a security clearance. Make it make sense.

NPR is suing Trump. Why? Because he slashed their funding just for doing their job—which is political retaliation. He’s trying to silence public media because they don’t bow down to his ego. News flash: the First Amendment doesn’t disappear just because you don’t like the coverage, Donnie.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Congressman Charlie Rangel. A founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus. A fearless fighter for Harlem. A decorated veteran who never stopped serving the people.

This Memorial Day, we honor those who gave everything in service to this country. As we pause to reflect, let’s remember: the best way to honor the fallen is to stand up for the living—by ensuring our veterans & their families get the care, respect, & resources they need to thrive.

Trump’s “big, beautiful bill”? It’s bullshit. It’s a straight-up scam that abandons working families and rigs the system even more for the rich. They’re slashing jobs and gutting the very resources that people need to survive—while calling it “fiscal responsibility.”

George Floyd should be alive today. He should be raising his daughter, living his life. 5 years later, we owe him more than thoughts and hashtags. His daughter said, “My daddy changed the world.” Let’s stop failing her, and him. Congress must pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.

Thank you to Southern University at New Orleans for the honor of serving as your 2025 commencement speaker, and for the incredible gift of an honorary doctorate. To the graduates: They underestimated SUNO. They underestimated you. But you pushed through every obstacle, every setback, & still rose.

Team Crockett is coming to the Duncanville Rec Center this Tuesday from 6-8PM. Need help with a federal agency or have questions about casework? Stop by our Mobile Office Hours and let us help you get answers.

Trump cut staffing at the VA, and now Dallas vets are waiting months for care. Surgeries are being delayed. Vets are being left without mental health care. I’ve called for an investigation—because if you claim to support veterans, act like it.

I sit on the Oversight Committee as the Vice Ranking Member, and let me be clear: this ain’t oversight, it’s a damn joke.

The courts just stopped Trump from dismantling the Dept. of Education. Newsflash: you don’t get to gut public education without Congress. Thousands of workers? Saved. Public education? Protected. Dictatorship? Denied.

I voted NO on their “big, beautiful” bill because it will strip health care from 14 million Americans—including nearly 130,000 people in my district who rely on Medicaid.

The “big, beautiful” bill ain’t beautiful—it’s bullshit. House Republicans just voted for the largest cut to SNAP & Medicaid in U.S. history—turning their backs on their own damn constituents: the working people they were sent here to represent. They don’t serve the people. They serve the rich.

My Statement on the Passing of Congressman Gerry Connolly

The DOJ found that police in Louisville and Minneapolis were violating people’s civil rights—so they created a plan to fix it, with rules the departments had to follow. Now Trump’s DOJ wants to shut it down… like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd’s lives didn’t mean a damn thing.

This is real life, y’all. These aren’t “democratic talking points”—this is a real mother and real babies at risk of going hungry, all because Republicans want to be greedy. Somebody please tell me how you can feed a growing family of 6 on $15 per day… you can’t.

This is the weaponization of government—full stop. If you speak out against them—or in this case do your job—they will come for you. What we’re seeing with @replamonica.bsky.social is a political stunt, and we won’t stand for it.

I stand with Rep. LaMonica McIver. This is a political stunt—point blank.
