So what I hear is expect a winter of Transgender healthcare science to occur in the US again, in the 2050s and 60s for it to thaw, and the conservatives of 2070 raising a hissy fit. Corresponds with 1934 and the institute getting burned by the Nazis. 45 year cycle of biconservative nonsense

The Road of Woe sucks. Every quarter mile a sign saying you are going to Hell. Stuff for proselytizing. Outright lies and blood libel. Cameras and local police on the lookout to make life miserable for folks passing through. I'm surprised one of the cool journalists haven't done a story on it.

The doctors in Memphis and the ones associated with Methodist is why I stuck around for 7 years after I came out. Worried GAC will be another reason folks have to go on the I55 corridor to the southern illinois Planned Parenthood. A route I call the "Road of Woe".

According to the logic, organ transplants, stem cell treatments, and others could be banned due to medical uncertainty . Justice Roberts and his Ilk wanting us to go back to the Methods of medicine from the blessed founders. Trepanning , Brandy, and Leaches.

I honestly blame the insurance industry and fleet sales. A lot of cars enter the used market from fleet sales, rental car industry couldn't exist without this model. The people who buy their cars new and get fun colors tend to hang onto them for wayyy longer than the average ownership period

Its a good color. Need more jelly bean colored cars and less of the "everything needs to be white, Grey, or black"

They were from the Susan's Place era. Folks forget how much the pre WPATH era is sucked to be trans. I've known a few folks from that era, being from the inflection point time. it incentivized assimilation, going deep stealth, and not helping your fellow siblings. Solidarity was a four letter word

Why for anything on the small web I've been recommending Anubis as a mitigation. Couple of my favorite forums and open source software started using it after folks sent the crawlers after them. anubis.techaro.lol

I wasn't aware that corporate executives lungs were resistant to chemical scarring

Really giving me the incentive to flash my hardware with Lineage, because I have zero interest in any of this AI stuff. What's the point of an AI tool that makes shit up when I'm looking through my notes to find factual things that I wrote or received?

Would think Cuomo being a carpetbagging son of a bitch who doesn't even live in NYC would be more than enough for folks to not rank him.

It was Mississippi for me. Beware Mississippification, with the sort of corruption that makes Italy look clean

It looked like a microwave

Actual bartender bots are alot less impressive and actually work because they don't do flashy bullshit. I loved the hacker one I saw using retired hospital perialststic pumps. It made an ok Manhattan.

Their stuff is so unfriendly and from what I've seen, it papers it over in windows with a bunch of game specific bullshit tweaks in their dumb gamer app. I pretty much only keep a windows stick around for Lightburn and dumb proprietary flashing soft at this point.

If it's AMD graphics card and you don't do stuff like Fortnite or PubG, Linux gaming it's already there feels like. My wife asked me to do it to her rig. Only had to intervene once with a weird problem with Vampire the Masquerade and fan patch. Now only problem is Nvidia

Someone without reading comprehension still made it Intolerance flagged One of the rare Bsky Terfs got it out for you

Yeah, that complaint very much had a feel of "i am white and saw too many not white people enjoying a pleasant day out picnicing"

It's mostly just butterflying the hot dog serve with onions. When cooking make sure the link doesnt curl up
comment in response to post
Can always go do that after. I made hotdogs after the Seattle protest. Made to celebrate the proud halal hotdog vendors of 5th avenue in NYC that haunt Donald Trump's dreams.

It's sad that his son grew up to be a loser who joined the fascists who's political movement

Shaking down Harvard and Columbia, the jackboots kidnapping legal immigrants, and trying to erase trans people from legal existence. Dudes a tiny demented fascist. And folks who don't admit it now I honestly think are either cowards or are complicit

More like 30%, with 20% carring more about their taxes and house value than the country they live in surviving long enough to pay the mortgage off That 30% pretty sure are the core constituents of who would have been confederates back in the day. And would probably be happy to balkanize

Yup, why all the capital is devoted to skinner box online stuff or new ways to use a blockchain to rip someone off. The maker VC fund when lol? I don't want to get stupid rich, I want to get sustainable.

For us it's making motors and doing funny electromagnetic stuff. I'm having to do hit up stuff from the 1970s because there is just zero support in the US for electromotive systems that isn't patent bunkered with an automotive company.
comment in response to post
The irony is I'm working on it and the upstream also blows. Finding VC is hard , and if trans even more so because you have to be twice as good as a techbro, if they dont just be Flat out rude. Lord help you if it's industrial. And I'll set this fucker on fire than put it in Texas.

I agree. Though pretty sure the SC would rather see this country burn then ever let the government give up even a millimeter of power to savage people that aren't wealthy.

If they had to have liability insurance like a doctor, a roofer, EMT, or even a fucking barber, policing in America would be radically different. It would also make money for being able to actually fund social programs that stop crime at the source. This system incentivizes cruelty

The Chinese and German companies bend over backwards for startups. Same for the Japanese and folks in eastern europe at least return messages. The Americans ain't interested unless you have a DOD contract, are ordering a million dollars of product, and do stuff ordering like it's 1985.

Even sourcing basic shit like magnets , raw materials, and bearings is hell. I've been dealing with it for weeks. Lots of assembly and fabrication, but the bare components just doesn't happen here. Let alone if you need something weird. I've had so many American suppliers tell me to piss off

Me wondering if a kid who is basically Zephram Cochrane is tooling around . I'm hoping we get a star trek future without needing a eugenics war or or world war 3. Lord knows the GOP is angling for both. And it's not the Vulcan backstory where they nuked themselves to the stone age.

It is absolute hell to do anything more complex than a novelty rubber doodad or a plastic barrel in the US if it isn't tied to warpigging now. Or a very specific artisan piece that is tied to rich folk (furniture, restomod parts, very specific vertical monopoly stuff)

We really are speed running the rise and fall of the Nazis. Near the end they were also building their buildings and equipment absolutely crap and having mismatched equipment and whatever they could aquire because supply chain problems

Considering how infuriating current MS office can be with cloud functionality and throwing AI at you, it may be the only way they can do word processing and spreadsheets and not have a US company AI mining your stuff.

Some of the hardest working folks I know have Somali families, and I'm worried about their families with these dirt bags in ICE going after folks who have been in the US for decades.

Exactly. I like to compare Arkansas and Mississippi to stuff I've seen in Eastern Europe. Tennessee as basically Poland. except Warsaw is way better developed than Nashville and Jackson wishes it had the support and infrastructure of Sofia.

That starlink better be using a quantum entanglement communication system or something, because even light speed lag is going to prevent this safety kick in system from being useful. unless human operators will always be on. And then this is just another way to make poor people invisible.

What I find wild is "Third World" countries is a stupid line because a lot of those places are surprisingly advanced now. A lot of MAGA folks don't realize just how underdeveloped and economically irrelevant that a lot of places in the rural US are. And that GOP policy actively hurts.

I think about senior housing alot and senior care for LGBT folks a lot the last few years, as I have an elder gay in my life, and how much of a shit show it can be in the south for them.

Also that Waymos lack a self preservation instinct. Something that folks don't think about a car needing until it's very obvious
