The United States must continue to work with our partners to prevent additional escalation in the region, stop Iran’s progress towards a functioning nuclear weapon, and ensure Israel's right to exist. I am praying for our troops deployed to the region and the innocent civilians in harm's way.

I have worked with states across the Middle East that share those concerns and have spoken directly to defense officials in Israel, Egypt, and Jordan.

My office has been in touch with Department of Defense officials and is continuing to monitor the situation as it develops. I have long believed it is entirely unacceptable and extremely dangerous for Iran — the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism — to develop a nuclear weapon.

Gun violence is now the leading cause of death for U.S. children. We need commonsense gun reform. I’m fighting for universal background checks, safe storage laws, and stronger red flag protections to keep our schools and communities safe.

This event always brings back memories of my time as a midshipman: the excitement, the nerves, and the sense of service. I can't wait to see what this next generation will accomplish.

ECLC is doing the work in the classroom and in the community. And I’ll keep fighting in Congress to make sure organizations like this have the resources they need to continue changing lives.

This day is not only about honoring those who died for this country, but also about renewing our commitment to the ideals they fought for—freedom, democracy, and justice. Thank you all for coming out and honoring the fallen this Memorial Day.

Jewish Americans face the severe threat of antisemitic violence every day, and it is long past time that the U.S. federal government prioritizes their safety.

As we celebrate, we also remember the families still praying for the return of hostages in Gaza. We stand with them and reaffirm our commitment to fight antisemitism in all its forms, at home and abroad.

Now, thanks to Rep. Frank Pallone and Rep.Nellie Pou, his name will forever be tied to that legacy. A fitting tribute to a true champion of our state. newjerseyglobe.com/congress/hou...
