My AC gave out a few years ago when it was like 97°outside and it only ever got to like 85° in my old as shit house. Getting it to actually hit 90° is full blast heat.

Bad at Bluesky?
Don't be so sure. After all, he did just flawlessly execute the one surefire tactic to get attention on this site.

Yep. It'll get you through TSA, but just like everyone with a DC drivers license knows, good luck convincing a bartender that it's a valid ID.

This is probably the main reason to spend the extra $35 and get a passport card. It's not valid for international air travel, but it's a valid Real ID and fits in a wallet.

I'm almost tempted to hand it to cackling wikipedia skimmer tucker carlson for making a larger point he certainly didn't intend to make

You'll get a tracking number soon, but then it'll say "tracking number created. awaiting receipt of shipment" for another 24 hours.

I'm concerned that there are some violations of standard LinkedIn format here.

Just to be clear, the hot dog is the handle of a broom-length windshield washer for big rigs at a truck stop.

I encountered this one the other day, which is also pretty good I guess.

Possible, sure. But the killer was driving a cop car, and we all know what that means: This was very likely the work of a campus protester.

“We know definitively that there is no possibility that this particular individual, who was dressed as a cop, carrying cop equipment, driving a car identical to local cop cars, down to the exact equipment on the vehicle, was not a cop. Next question.”

For example, there hasn’t been a single runaway slave in this country in over 160 years.

I was thinking it was a farmer, or perhaps a lumberjack, but now that you mention it, I suppose we can’t discount the remote possibility that it could have been a cop.

My theory is that these people mostly joined Twitter in 2016 or so to get in fights with assholes, and they have little other experience interacting with strangers online. They have no sense that Twitter was once fun, so jokes don't register. Anything they don't understand needs to be destroyed.

I joined Twitter in early 2007, long before algorithmic bullshit took over everything.
Having a lively, Twitter-like place that isn't constantly trying to force things on me to game their engagement metrics is really refreshing. Bluesky really does feel like Twitter before the long decline began.

In fairness, he's the most "latch onto a popular/faux-fancy New York thing from 1987" guy ever created.

I really want one but the only thing I really want to play is Zelda and I can't justify dropping $500 to play two games I've already played.
