Is that recent? It just looks like it's from 2020.

Yes, it was noisy, but the apartment complexes there are made with very very thick glass. Much more sound proof than it is here in Savannah.

I used to live next to this rail road in Arlington.

Thanks for clarification!

They resign because they don't want to do something illegal. Their career isn't ruined - they can get hired as a lawyer elsewhere. They can get disbarred if they do something illegal.

I dogsat a Brittany once. She was chunky & silly, but she would go up to every human at the dog park, sit in front of them, & look up at them with these absolutely intentional, sweet eyes. She could win over anybody with a single stare. I think I fell in love with her after a single week.

They just know how to emotionally connect, mirror our emotions, and create these really deep, transparent relationships with us. In ways that even other domesticated animals still can't do. Even if a lot of their motivation to bond stems from their desire to get us to give them food. πŸ€ͺ

Every accusation is a confession.

Bondi seems like a lawyer who has never had to actually try a case. She rules in the court of public opinion and fails in the strict parameters of a judge and jury.

The alternative would be to suppress the emotion or source of stress, which I think makes us subconsciously express it in our body language & she reacts to that. Our subconscious signals are often repressed emotions we can't resolve. Dogs can push us to be more emotionally aware & self-refulating.

But I also learned to be more honest with her. It's kind of an emotional self-refulation: acknowledge what you're feeling rather than act on the feeling. For example with grief, I sob on Kennedy a lot. And I just tell her the truth: "I'm in pain."

I learned that if I'm under duress or scared on a walk, Kennedy will sometimes growl at another dog. Even if the thing I fear is the news - she looks to something in the environment causing the emotion & wants to protect me. I learned to be cautious about what feelings I have around her.

It teaches me how my body language is saying things to them that I don't realize. Kennedy, for example, always watches my hands. Much more frequently than my voice command. It can also help you understand the subconscious signals you're giving out. (They smell hormones as well).

πŸ˜‚ To the 6 dogs. What I like about dogs is that they read body language well. I sometimes test Freyja by only moving a single part of my body - let's say shoulders. And then seeing if she reacts to the isolated movement. She often will, because she sees isolated movements as distinct messages.

Kennedy hasn't left my side since Athena died. When Athena was alive, she wouldn't leave my side, while Kennedy was often aloof. Now Kennedy seems to know I need her.

Dogs have all the luxuries we give them and none of the stress we had to put up with to get those luxuries.

They're good kids. ☺️

That's why everyone in Trump's white house is miserable. Their entire career is built on thin taco shells.

πŸ˜‚ I never made the connection between the two events. But he absolutely fawns over everything these dictators do, so I could absolutely see him asking Zuckerberg or Musk to censor something like 8647. And the word taco.

That might be because the day before it was rumored that tanks ran over protestors in Tiananmen Square. Some people who were there denied that it happened. Still - that version might still persist around the web.

Old empires collapse, new empires are made. Now, some of our corruption comes from technological threats / or rather the ruthlessness and lack of morality coming from the Silocon Valley gatekeepers of technology.
