There is no “good side.” Just 2 mobs clamoring for power.

This quote came after he wrote an editorial for capital punishment towards French Nazi sympathizers. He recanted after seeing how those people were tortured in leading up to and including their execution.
It seems you are in direct opposition of this quote.
Hate isn’t a requirement of justice.

Capable? Yes. Intended use in this situation? No.
Again, if you believe the agent was carrying HE rounds then there is no point continuing to engage.
I’m quite certain that we’ll not agree on here anyway.

The officer is carrying an anti riot gun - 6 round launcher, most likely an SJ 600N. It is designed for less than lethal engagements and is NOT a weapon of war. The type of projectiles it fires is completely relevant, regardless of what the public may think.

Doubtful. Were you a combatant or a civilian in a war zone?

I spent 20 years as a U.S. Army Infantryman. While the weapon is a grenade launcher, it is used to employ less than lethal smoke / CS grenades. If you truly believe that they’re carrying HE rounds on the streets then there is no point in continuing to engage with you.

I’m not arguing what the course is. I’m just telling you what is stated plainly in the link that I shared; that they are adding additional content to the course to bring students up to speed with fundamental algebra.

He shoved a dude. The same guy walked right back up and stood by the other guy. The officers here showed great restraint. You’re welcome to stand in the way if you like but you’ll likely be relocated against your will. There will not be any legal recourse for you if this occurs.

This is a public forum Sir. Everyone has a right to voice their opinions (even if we don’t agree). When we silence others we do not get to see the contrast in ideals. Hearing from everyone brings the widest perspective to a conversation and spawns the greatest ideas.

By winning elections. If this is not what the people want, then it will become evident in the next election cycle.
If you choose to break the law, you will lose the support of many voters as well as your own right to vote which affects your ability to bring change you wish to see in government.

Officers can use physical force while conducting crowd control but it must be reasonable and necessary under the circumstance. The use of force should be proportional to the threat and de-escalated whenever possible.
He didn’t harm anyone, he shoved them back. These officers seem well disciplined.

“Introduction to functions and calculus” strongly implies they might not have already taken calculus.
While this course indeed is not 7th grade math, foundational algebra is. Foundational algebra having to be taught in this course suggests that the students have not fully grasped it.

An introductory course is one that introduces students to a subject and prepares them for studying it at a higher level.
Remedial is not found in the title, but it is a part of the course content. If one is having to relearn foundational algebra, definitionally, that is remedial.

I believe most people are empathetic towards others. They just have a different perspective. I can love others while disagreeing with them. If one stops loving the Trump supporter how will we be able to help them change? Individuals can be reasoned with but only if they know I care about them first.

Don’t shake your head too much, you’ll get dizzy. My purpose was to raise awareness about the manipulation of emotions by the OP. Look up at what grade foundational algebra is taught and then look up the definition of remedial. There’s nothing wrong with needing a foundational algebra course again.
comment in response to
post
It is.
Nothing wrong at all with helping their students become more competent and successful; they’re supposed to do that.
My issue is with the OP posting this, knowing it will only infuriate and drive people further into their grievances with the current administration. It doesn’t help anything.

It isn’t called remedial but, foundational algebra is taught in grades 7-9, so in a sense, it is. The article addresses how they fell behind during COVID. Nothing wrong with needing additional coursework to get caught up. According to the article it fits the definition.

I don’t, thanks!

I don’t mind being wrong. It doesn’t define me. The OP seems to make posts that infuriate people at the expense of their own peace. We all know that Trump is going to say some off the wall stuff. I just pointed out that Harvard is having to cover subjects that should already have been mastered.

I don’t support Trump. I think the original poster only seeks to infuriate others daily and that’s what I’m against.
All I did was post to link to an article from Harvard. Make it what you will.

I did. The article states “The Harvard Math Department will pilot a new introductory course aimed at rectifying a lack of foundational algebra skills among students,”
Foundational algebra is a 7-9 grade course.
Reverting to insults suggests you are defensive and therefore find my opinion valid

It is possible that I am incorrect in my judgment but foundational algebra is a 7-9th grade course.

To ensure that those who commented see it. Foundational algebra is normally taught in grades 7-9 it’s not called remedial, but neither was it learned beforehand. The OP is simply seeking to infuriate his audience.
It doesn’t mean that I think Trump is good or that Harvard is bad.

That the OP is not being honest. Covid set our kids back academically. Foundational algebra is normally taught in grades 7-9. Just because Trump crudely points things out doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
I don’t like Trump, but I also don’t like it when influencers mislead others.

I’m not a Trump follower. I saw the OP, did a search and found that Harvard does offer a course teaching fundamental algebra (normally taught in grades 7-9.) I believe that people should know the truth. That’s why I posted the link. It doesn’t mean I think Harvard is bad or that Trump is good.
