haha, they are great episodes. It went downhill after the Liverpool kid left - around 89-90 I think.

It’s a labour of love - once I have a theme it flows nicely, but finding themes that people will want to watch, that’s the tricky part! I can make videos every weekend about cheese, orange juice, etc - but then I think, who wants to see that?

I have my retro YouTube binges, too - Chocky, Grange Hill, The Bill…

I like the intros “David Harris, a former bank robber from Halifax. Claire Riley, a Satan worshiper from Port Talbot…”

It really does - and if someone decides to nick a parcel, you can't do anything.

Thanks Jenny - also the ones that say “sorry you weren’t in” I work from home - always in. Then you have to head to the other end of town because they’ve dumped the parcel at a florists. UPS is the biggest offender.

The shouty angry drunk on the subway platform at 11pm. Just don't make eye contact....

When I was a kid, I thought "These are my salad days" was one of those misheard lyrics and I thought I was really funny by saying it. "Oh, he REALLY does say salad? What?"
comment in response to post
No you won't...just realised it's not on that album!

Nice, if you have any patients requiring caps, you should play GOLD!

Phil Collins should do a song about this….

I swear he watches 500 clips in the space of 5 minutes....

Nice tactic...I'm trying that...

Are you also showed videos that your kids find hilarious but you don't understand what they're laughing at? "Dad, watch this..." "I don't get it..." "Oh my god what is wrong with you??"
comment in response to post
True. Poisoned with crap food and drink, and today's kids are poisoned with idiots on Tik Tok who convince boys that men are so hard done to and DEIJ is all a waste of time.
comment in response to post
That's wonderful - normal conversations without sneers or that look my wife and I get as if we are the stupidest people on the planet. "Oh my god, what is WRONG with you Gen X'ers?" he says. I love it! 😆

haha, the teen years, god love em! We, of course, were perfect, weren't we? Our son is 18 and will walk around the house only looking at his phone sometimes, transfixed by the scrolling!

Grange Hill, pick any episode between 1978 and 1988 and it's just kids bollocking each other...and teachers!
comment in response to post
Me too, Mr Frosty, even though I know it's crap!
comment in response to post
Absolutely - although one thing struck me after watching a few episodes, the kids are constantly angry at each other! "Oh yeah, what you gonna do about it?" "You'll see?" "Shut ya mouth!" "Or what?" etc etc!
comment in response to post
I bet they do - I can hear my dad now, "James, get off that bloody phone! You're seeing each other at school tomorrow!"
comment in response to post
It's a good one, even though it nearly wasn't made, they ran out of money apparently. Decent film.
comment in response to post
And it's all on YouTube! It was great until about 1988, those were excellent episodes.

Horrible! Those school loos...Cresco paper everywhere...
comment in response to post
Explorers is a good one!
comment in response to post
See? Why can't I lead a life like that? No one will watch the old films with me, I have them on in the background as I work and listen to them like podcasts!
comment in response to post
Take me to the time portal, let's go!
comment in response to post
Too true - although I know some people who are addicted to it. I find it shattering.
comment in response to post
Ah that’s why it never worked for me!

Cheers to you, Jane 🙂

No but I will! Thanks ☺️

Ok let recommend a show to you on Amazon. Red Oaks - brilliant!

If you were nearby, I’d say pop over…

Don’t do it - watch Downton Abbey or The Durrells - escape from it all for a bit…
comment in response to post
These people are just bored, they see it all as a game. They lead a full life from a property and materialistic pov, but the rest of their lives are utterly vacuous. Lost souls.

Your word is more civilised than my choice - but he is both.

Yes, works perfectly! I know it’s bad for accounts that rely on adverting, but when you have an advert every minute, it’s so annoying.

Utterly insane….

And those neighbours run the place & have made it a crime to critique China on social media. When I was there in 97, there was a lot of anti British sentiment in the local press & they really vilified Christ Paten. Then the Chinese army marched through the city and the vibe changed....

I heard some stories about the Triads and poverty in there, even the police would avoid certain sections apparently! Did you ever visit HK? Chungking Mansions was one hell of a place. God help people in a fire, but aside from that, a truly incredible melting pot.
comment in response to post
oh, just realised that advert is Cinzano!
comment in response to post
It might show up....😀
