yu's canon name is changed because it's too close to a pronoun

there's also something nostalgic about knowing that persona 4 is going to continue to dominate discourse for another thousand years. like it or hate it, it's the perfect argument starter

Mmm, on a deeper dive, the sponsor of this segment, Planetplay, runs its model by getting mobile games to run in-game purchases that direct revenue to them for "charity purposes", which seem to be purposefully vague. System that can only exist so long as games use predatory practices :/

Presumably for the sake of funding having a show like this? Or maybe, with a less optimistic view, they just wanted to get the highest bidders possible. It's just sad to see a "green" showcase mostly shilling predatory games that donate a small percent to claim tax benefits/have better PR

LMAO as i went to reply to this another game that embraces genai came on. Wait, hold on, sounds like another one just came up.......I just really cannot believe that this was the best they could do. There are plenty of games that are promoting green themes out there, and this is dodging most of them

genuinely baffled by what is going on here. a quick google doesn't even hide that the company brags about being AI forward, no idea how they got the SECOND spot in the showcase

And none of them understand that a third gale of darkness tierlist will blow all of these ideas out of the water

Is maybe an indication that this would be a good chance to try and reclaim what social media has taken back. I still like scrolling here and there to keep up with friends but using discord and messaging apps primarily as social media has helped me get like...happier and build more meaningful

there is nothing wrong with being on these websites but it just pains me to see yall talking about how you're willing to betray your own morals/let them decay than resist your temptations. im not even saying there's anything wrong with going back over there per se, but that the strength of this need

I do want to present the alternative, with so much love and good intentions, to you guys that yall may be addicted to social media and could take this opportunity to break your chains of reliance and start communicating with people directly or in groups more often instead of through hollow websites

It's genuinely so baffling to me that people can't conceive that maybe both have merits? It's genuinely the simplest answer, and yet...

Much respect to her but she was a walking red flag. I promise I'm not a "my exes are soooo crazy" guy, I'm still talking to most of them hahaha. This one just...well, I found out that she never took medicine and never got any vaccines or even flu shots. I genuinely thought I could help her 😅

Will it hurt them immensely right now? Probably not. But it will make less games profitable going forward, since studio budgets have ballooned in recent years, and we could see drops in quality, drops in approval, drops in purchasing, or all of the above. Short term gains but long term hurt.

We can talk all we want about prices then vs now, but the reality is that the average person will decrease spending on Nintendo games and be forced into more selective purchasing here, which will inevitably cause problems for a company that has been supported by accessibility.

SNES also had a much more niche audience and a much less established supply chain comparatively. Besides, we can talk about inflation all we want - wages may have slightly increased, but prices for housing and essentials have skyrocketed. The $450 I have no issue with - $80 is less sustainable.

I grew up with consoles and have never not owned a nintendo console (admittedly always because of Xenoblade) and I took for granted that they'd always be the most affordable option of the competition but those prices...as of right now I'm probably skipping out, this is absolutely ridiculous

How are you liking it so far?? I have a big soft spot for it

Typically, but the definition is a bit flexible. This certainly falls in a grey area. When I was studying in France, an artist projected words assembled by AI into the air and labeled it a sculpture; the artist was there and it was very entertaining to listen to the audience rip into him!
