Yes. "Donor" states and "Welfare" states, and we should refer to them that way. Catchy.

Wow, I suppose they all drive Cadillacs and do drugs too? I thought we'd buried this kind of garbage decades ago. Oh wait, Trump and minions.

If there was ever better proof that we need a “dislike” button, I haven’t seen it today. @cnbc.com is competing in the “bend the knee” sweepstakes. 🤮

You have no choice. You live to serve.

No reason a skilled tradesperson shouldn’t have an education. There’s more to life than work.

No argument but that doesn’t negate the need for an educated populace. For what it’s worth, I dislike undergraduate business degrees for fear of turning out more morons with tunnel vision. A liberal arts education has value.

That touch of mink (faux)

I am deeply concerned that we are already turning out a generation without any grounding in civics, history, or literature (your basic liberal arts education). Maybe we should worry about making education affordable instead.

Get real. There's not a real spine among them.

Interesting but I, as a random consumer, find that price a bit high. As a shareholder, well, it still sounds high.

My favorite poet. My favorite poem. "The Panther" "The panther is like a leopard, Except it hasn't been peppered. Should you behold a panther crouch, Prepare to say Ouch. Better yet, if called by a panther, Don't anther."

Yes, exactly. You can't even rent a bicycle for $5/hr. I don't know where this number came from but it seems to be purely a rectal pluck.

It’s a start but I didn’t see a whole lot of colleges or universities on that list. Most of the signatories are relatively small. We need more prominent organizations to sign on.

Tiz true.

Sorry, just joking about your screen name. The correct response from “Wonderhorse” was “Neighhhhh!”
comment in response to post
Well, I'd just as soon not revisit the '70s.
comment in response to post
True that, the mendacious moron. BTW Wonderhorse, what would you say if I said "Frau Blucher"?

Good for Powell. I for one do not wish to see a repeat of 70's stagflation. Not sure he can do enough though.

Well, he himself is his best and only argument against diversity admissions in higher education. Hillbilly admissions Eulogy?

Good for you too Carl for highlighting this.

All else notwithstanding, Trump really is a cheap bastard.

Wow, it's been a long time since law school but I think the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 - a biggie - is still in force. Anyone trading on inside information, including politicians, Trump offspring, and T buds, is liable.

I hear Susan Collins is concerned.

I hope all the prior responders are right about Stefanik losing, but I wish the Dems had a stronger candidate than the incumbent.

Don’t forget that Trump didn’t write “Art of the Deal” either. Guy has the attention span of a fruit fly. He doesn’t make plans.

Writing to the White House is pointless. Is there anyone left at the SEC who is interested in insider trading–and who has the nerve to go after Trump and cronies. The public certainly does have the right to know–about Don Jr. , Eric, family and friends, donors. One could go on.
comment in response to post
Who in the administration knew about Trump's latest tariff flip flop ahead of time? Did anyone buy or sell stocks, and profit at the public’s expense? I'm writing to the White House — the public has a right to know.

A little advance knowledge of tweet provides the closest thing to a "sure thing" that you would ever find in the market. I'd support this hypothesis with serious $$ if there were anyone willing and able to go digging here.
comment in response to post
Obviously. All you'd need is a short time before Trump tweets. Buy a bunch of puts or calls where there is heavy volume. Any of the major indexes. I wonder if the SEC has the staff and the gumption to follow up on Trump family cronies trading?

Oh hell. You know the world is screwed when I agree with Rand Paul.

Perhaps "The Great Automatic Grammatizator "(by Roald Dahl), 1954 is worth a re-visit?

I remember when American cars went from being competitive to being junk. Remember the K cars? Fain seems to have that same grasp of economic conditions.

Two seconds after my prior post I just happened to see the futures. Sad!

He speaks for himself. What an insensitive oblivious jerk. Nothing like volatility for people with shorter time horizons.
