This is an uphill battle. They are desperately avoiding one iota of responsibility.

Haha, the fat cats are treading!

Is this a coerced statement?

They presented options to the government, the government made more busy work. I say it's a symbol of Canada's social infrastructure. Pay enough to keep the lights on, but not so much that it's functional.

They weren't being pansies. They get their funding from the same people.

That's where the buses come from!

They can't even get all the Democrats on board.

Yikes - (local obligatorily hating on BC ferries), but honestly they aren't that bad. They do need some reliability work.

I wonder how many US drones are in Canada.

You can't reason with partisans.

Kristi Noem got 59! One of us isn't understanding numbers.

Lots of these passed with more than 53 votes. apnews.com/projects/tru...

The authorities that are carrying it out, and the excuses they're using were created with bi-partisan support. Both parties built this infrastructure. Anyone who fails to take responsibility and learn, is setting themself up to do it again.

This is not Christianity. Christian Nationalists are blasphemers.

It's one number and it doesn't address the rest of my criticism. Look you can support the party establishment if you want. But they have supported candidates that made laws that are getting people kidnapped and killed. They supported Donald Trump's appointments and supported his spending plan.

8 years!

Yes.

They're firing ER Doctors for whining about getting dog bites on the job. LNG doesn't need our tax dollars, our public services do.
comment in response to post
You're accusing them of Blasphemy?!
comment in response to post
I suspect these are dog whistles for the working class.

I hear you and it's true, I'm interested in why they are his base. Most people don't just line up to be fascists.

I think it's more nuanced than that. The same will happen in Canada. They deal with problems they're not trained for with tools not meant for it. The rest of the social net has offloaded onto the cops and there is a good chance they're all shell shocked. It's all creative book keeping to be cheap.

Nuance; civil servants earning a living wage for service does redistribute wealth, but calling it a military and buying it all sorts of death machines while failing to build life machines does not.

But by all means avoid change and maintain the status quo as much as possible.

This thread is about Hogg, no? Or was Bernie also involved in a school shooting. They are so common there it's difficult to keep track.
comment in response to post
You're trying to talk over me rather than with me. You're not building coalitions or listening. This is exactly what you accuse Hogg of.
comment in response to post
You should appreciate the dangers of disingenuous political debate. I'm familiar enough with bureaucratic harassment to recognize when someone is getting railroaded.

Trauma is dangerous regardless of the source. The first person challenged me to find factual errors in their statement which was largely conjecture and a spending statistic. It takes multiple perspectives to listen and to build a coalition. As an outsider I think you lost an opportunity.
comment in response to post
I also find it a bit unbelievable that a school shooting survivor doesn't understand the danger of trauma, the sort that would come from tyrannical fascism.
comment in response to post
For starters it's difficult to find evidence for the entire first paragraph. Secondly there is a disconnect between Democrats funding the government & approving appointees and caring about fascism. Your only evidence is money BS most people don't understand. What you're saying is difficult to buy.

Easy on that kool-aid.

Where does it go now?

Health benchmarks, education benchmarks, skills development, access to food, disability requirements... There simply isn't enough journalism to monitor government performance.

We're having a lot of flights about creative accounting in Canada. Usually it's about whether government finances are real or politicized. It's not only finances that are creatively reported. Employee sick leave, incidents of abuse, bureaucratic harassment, this adds homeless counts.

I seem to remember all sorts of protests about extra judicial executions, er police involved deaths, over the past 4 years. Maybe it's just a "do we really value human life?" issue.
comment in response to post
It's everywhere.
comment in response to post
We're having lawsuits in BC against public agencies for people who voice concerns about practices being fired. I'm doing a human rights complaint against a public agency about harassment over disability. It's creative accounting but with non-monetary performance indicators.

Funding education programming for Television and Radio would help. Loads of people don't go to school anymore and most employers are pretty cheap.

I like to remind people that the Vancouver oil terminals are east of 2 easier to blockade narrows.

Actually it supports your position. This person clearly is out of touch.

I'm afraid not. He was pretty clear about cuts & AI, and this bill helps make that happen.

Those are great too.

I don't like them because they're busy, loud and many people are impatient. On an unrelated note; I wonder how many conservatives live with ADHD and anxiety stuff.

John Adams sounds like a lord darned commie by today's standards.

He's got a lot of gay stuff on his mind.
