Unbelievable. Rachel Reeves is thinking about cutting a tax on US tech giants to appease Trump and his band of billionaires. If anything we should be taxing them more - not less! Agree? Sign today: 38d.gs/techgiantsta...

Years ago I wrote Loft Island. It's fiction, set in 1953 and looks sensitively at a boy and girl, 2 years apart, growing up. The characters came out so attractive that I followed it up with The Island and the Town so as to showcase them again, with others they met. www.amazon.co.uk/Loft-Island-...

Just watched @labourlewis.bsky.social's powerful speech on his Water Bill, raising the fundamental question that’s been ignored for too long: who should own our water? It’s time to bring water back into public hands. Watch the debate here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gIOTHnvxEI

In vast areas of the US, the sentiments expressed in this wonderful letter from a British man about why it's a privilege to pay tax to enable the National Health Service to run would see him probably certified as insane and labelled a "socialist".

Even further horrors...

Trump says in an interview that Ukraine should have rolled over and allowed Russia to invade or take over in Ukraine and so avoid war. I wonder what he would do if Russia decided to wander into Alaska in the same way. War is anathema to me, but so is disregarding the will of inhabitants.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳

If you're interested in #canals #canalhireboats or the #UKMidlands, the novel "Yes, we live on a boat" is for you. Throw in a terrorist plot, a marriage breakdown, humour and family life, and even more there's a story to hold your interest. More at www.rw2.co.uk/index.php/ye... or on Amazon.

“Ok,” I said. “I’ll give it a go. But I’ve got to find somewhere to live nearby, somewhere inexpensive but decent, and big enough for the three of us.” “Have you heard of the concept of the tied cottage?” My surprise showed. “Yeeees…” “Well, how about a tied narrowboat?”

Thank you, thank you for saying this!

THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! Severn Trent announces profits worth millions as it seeks to increase the cost of bills for customers the supplier to eight million people in Wales & the Midlands, booked £297.8m in pre-tax profit, £42.7m more than a year earlier news.sky.com/story/severn...

You would be doing me a huge favour by visiting www.rw2.co.uk and having a look round at my novels. You'd be doing me an even greater favour (or even 'favor') by subscribing to my email list. Thank you.

Does anyone know if I'm allowed to promote my 5 authored novels on Bluesky? Having just joined, I'd hate to be chucked out...
