The only thing he's killing dead is two dozen glazed.

"Say what you want about the Germans" in a review for a concentration camp memorial is really something.

Bingo. The lack of a viable internal successor is a feature for Trump (and nearly all authoritarians), not a bug.

This sort of implication drives me up the fucking wall and is a perfect microcosm of horserace journalism. The implication is that donations are always an indicator of some sort of unprofessional, personal, irrational bias and not a logical fucking choice based on the totality of one's knowledge.

there is something quite close to unanimity among serious scholars on this point, but the Washington Post omits that in favor of highlighting one such scholar's donations to Democratic candidates

For what it's worth, that's not just a male fantasy - there's a large market for that kind of fantasy with women as well.

Pop music is generally not my thing at all but Please, Please, Please is such a fun song.

Doing crimes while waving American flag = OK Existing while waving Mexican flag = NOT OK

I missed this. What's his title?

I'd be shocked if he ever fires Miller because Miller has no discernable ambition to advance beyond where he's at right now - he's more than happy to serve as the loyal henchman indefinitely as long as it means he gets to oppress brown people.

They'll give him the full Op-ed for this one.

We also had no way of knowing at the time if it was disinformation because Giuliani was controlling the source material so tightly. The laptop situation ultimately boils down to a political campaign trying to launch an October surprise and the media being extremely reluctant to participate.

I'll bite. This highlighted section is a perfect example of why people aren't taking your criticism seriously. The laptop story was an innuendo laden smear job with very little substance - to say it was "bad for Democrats" means you accepted the innuendo as gospel.

Omg why did I not know you were on BlueSky?

We were paying 60 bucks for N64 games *in the 90s*. Games have been historically cheap for a long time now.

He didn't even call him evil. He said he was a hater which is just objectively true. Someone should ask ABC News execs to name a single kind, compassionate thing Stephen Miller has ever said in public. Then compare that list (of zero) against all of the angry, hateful statements he has made.

Fucking cowards. This isn't an attack. It's an accurate description of the man backed up by decades of evidence going all the way back to when he was in high school.

Man the Chicago Bulls introductions in the Finals in the 90's gave me chills. You're right that the magic has been lost.

Absolute worst possible finals matchup for Indy.

There are a lot of grifters on Twitter who have grown dependent on those monthly engagement payments. Elon won't hesitate to take that away if they turn on him. Ian Miles Cheong is already lathering up Elon's boots with his tongue as we speak.

The problem with people like Yglesias (Nate Silver is another example) is that they think that because they are commonly accepted as centrists, then all of their weird personal grievances are automatically centrist as well and therefore, those grievances are reasonable and beyond reproach.

It's seriously one of the dumbest things he could have said here. Late term abortions are universally out of medical necessity. Nobody walks into the doctor's office at 8 and a half months and goes hey just decided I don't want this baby.

They'll probably do some dumbass shit like try to shoehorn Stephen A. into the show and completely ruin the vibe.

The goal of the church was supposedly to spread the gospel, but the doctrine inevitably leads to an insular community that outsiders often find repellently weird. My parents didn't go to some of my siblings' weddings because of that doctrine and which I found to be pointlessly self-righteous.
