Hey Fred, Why don't you think this admins Authoritarianism hasn't been more of a focus in the media? I've seen some but it feels like it should be front and center with all of the recent actions they are taking. The centralization of power is alarming! Along with the attacks on media and opposition

So be it I guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️ There are a lot of other things I'm more concerned with. Not saying my approach is the correct one.

I wonder if it mattered where you watched. I streamed it from the NFL app on my Roku.

I watched and didn't see Trump or anything pro Trump. Mostly saw messaging against what he stands for. If they showed him it must not have been often or for very long.

Tax payers don't want answer. They don't want answers because if they did they would have looked for those answers and probably found them. Tax payers want to complain about a system they know nothing about and are unwilling to educate themselves on.

If their plan is to completely destroy our government then it’s going rather swimmingly for them. We are currently in a world of hurt.

I’ve been worried that it’s too late since Trump got elected. Still have to keep fighting though.

Whatever you want to call it. Trump and the Republicans in the House and senate need to be held responsible. That should be the focus for Democrats. Make it stick to them. They’re the ones that can be voted out when it comes time.

Trump is anti meritocracy. His actions clearly show this.

I understand that. But my point is: If you want democrats to win moving forward, the messaging needs to change. People need to hear why what is happening is bad and negatively affects them and what Dems will do differently. Crying coup isn’t effective.

I don’t like any of this either. I just think saying things like coup should be reserved for the actual thing. You lessen the impact of your message if you dramatize everything. Eventually people tune it out. Just call it what it is. A multitude of illegal actions. They are fighting these in court.

That’s exactly what they are shooting for. And that’s exactly what magas are ignorantly cheering for. The policies don’t lie.

It sounds petulant to call it that even if it is what you believe. Whining about a coup isn’t changing anything and it isn’t making anyone look any more credible. I’m not against calling out their wrongdoings. But labeling this a coup, much like calling Trump Hitler, isn’t winning any more support.

All three branches of the government are being run by the Republicans. I'm not sure why you keep calling it a coup? This is what people voted for. Are they following proper procedure? No. But the only thing the Dems can do is take it to the courts. Don't act like the Rs aren't completely complicit.

I'm not sure we can call it a coup when they're acting on behalf of the president. It is stupid though.

I'm not sure what they're sending but I am sure the messaging is probably terrible. They can't seem to get out of their own way.

Would you be a bad person for not letting a stupid person preform brain surgery? Nope, not at all.
