incidentally, in addition to guest starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, there is another actor named Philip Hoffman in this episode

yeah for sure, carrell just was particularly surprising cuz he always just looks like Steve Carrell in every other role. he was on some DDL shit in this
comment in response to post
carrell was so good and uncharacteristically unrecognizable in that

so funny because besides Geralt she was the only other PC for several significant chunks of Witcher 3. shouldn’t be a surprise!

this is the same guy that called SNAP benefits a “waste” without acknowledging that grocery retailers, farmers, livestock, etc ALL benefit from those disbursements as well

pro tip for the right hand, the third dyad (C over Ab) is just an inversion of the first (Ab over C), so you can practice by doing 1-2-1/1-2-1/2-1, then 3-2-3/3-2-3/2-3 to reinforce the pinky side, then play the actual 1-2-3/3-2-1/2-1. Hope this makes sense. Hardest part is how wide it is.

I’ve only been playing piano (self-taught) for about 2 years, and my reading isn’t great — can slowly suss it out for memorization but not sight read. Hands doing separate things is definitely tricky, especially this piece. But once you get the left hand down the right is pretty straightforward.

some people go hard for GB2 (Peter MacNicol is so good) but it has such a weird tone (skank Janine) and it definitely doesn’t hit for me. They leave Winston out of half the movie, what was he doing when the other 3 guys were in court?

to my recollection the first episode of Cheers was not Christmas related at all, they all argued about what the sweatiest movie was while Diane gets a job at the bar
comment in response to post
I get what everyone is saying here, it obviously has greater association to the wider Peanuts universe. but to me it’s also an essential Christmas tune.

yeah and the first one was A Charlie Brown Christmas
