all the strings you can. anytime i get free money i always go with the most pragmatic purchases.
i hate that i HAVE to buy strings, so why not use money i didn't spend?

Yeah, I can get how that would stifle someone due to conditioning, but this is not the time for that
It was especially aggravating today because the video that made it stand out more was one he did on how tariffs are going to affect the guitar market and I couldn't even get past the intro

Oh, I know 60 Cycle Hum. Been watching Ryan infrequently for years. I just don't like listening to podcasts since it is usually two dumbasses conversing in a way that is obvious they know they are being recorded.
I was more asking if there was anything in specific Ryan has said in the past.

hey man, if it works, it works. my friend has a combination of boards including found wood and an old skateboard deck.

I did check their Reverb store, only issue is I don't care for the look of the double cut Jr.
I want that classic Leslie West vibe.
The hunt continues.

was going to go with a HB but being in the US I am worried about the import duty price hike thanks to tariff nonsense.
was recently reading how someone ordered a snare from Thomann for $99+shipping and once it got stateside there was an additional $350 added for import duties.

bass or guitar?
i am eternally flip flopping on getting a (not) Gibson LP Jr with a single P90 and is a single cut that is a cheapo.
literally panicking about it while typing this out.

@greyweirdo.bsky.social I know you shared this initially, I did a slight edit, so the original was deleted. Just didn't want your tl cluttered with deleted posts.

yeah, not sure which CH-1 circuit it is copying as even the Boss one was once analog and then eventually digital, if I am not mistaken.

will always come to bat for Boss (really any of them will do the thing).
notable mentions: Tone City Angel Wing, DOD FX 60 (or 65, 65b and 67), Donner Tutti Love, Behringer UC200 Ultra Chorus (friend swears by it)

that tracks. right wing youtubers have been saying bluesky is going to implode since mid last year.
I would have agreed with them if the libs on here weren't bullied so hard that they basically shut up entirely

I refuse to believe the entire dnc is this fucking stupid at this point.
this is deliberate fumbling.

is it dying here? I'm not into popular enough stuff to know, so everything feels about the same as it did when I joined.

at least an octave fuzz. that broken speaker sound with an upper harmonic squeal is too specific to be anything else, unless he is using a couple of effects to recreate it.
a Behringer SF300 would get you mostly there, but the octave is not as pronounced. maybe a Joyo Voodoo Octave would be better.

dimes to donuts it's just AI bullshit to recreate the pedals in a digital format and Boss is looking to recoup their costs for the servers
comment in response to

it's such a silly endeavor since you are mostly paying for the aesthetics and presumed "accuracy" of sound. Especially since there are lots of free/cheap versions of what they're offering to varying levels of success.
still can't find a HM2 or SD1 vst that sounds right however

mercuriall makes a free metal zone vst that does well enough for most people's needs

i don't know how well it would work for a full size board but i used one of those portable USB charging bank for phones and a couple of USB>9v cables to power a Boss Katana Mini, a Zoom G2 and a Joyo OMB.
it worked pretty well but the power drain was pretty quick (3ish hours)
