🇺🇦👀 AiTELLY: How Ukraine FPV drones with Truck Attack Happened?

In today’s Vatnik Soup, I’ll discuss the Ukrainian SBU’s “Spiderweb” operation and the main disinformation narrative vatniks have been spreading during the afterfall. While domestic Russian media stays silent, the vatniks and Russian milbloggers have been extremely loud. 1/20

It's summer 2007. The US army is 980,000 casualties in for 50 miles advance into Iraq. The Mukhabarat destroy half of US strategic aviation. Anti imperialists call on W to finally reduce Baghdad to ashes.

The poetic nature of this operation! The contrast between the cost of the FPV drone and the cost of the Russian bombers hit is beyond genius. The same will happen to Russia. This Goliath of shit will fall. Neither bought Western politicians nor an army of X bots will help.

This is what I would call “demilitarization”. #СлаваУкраїні

Russia, Irkutsk region, Belaya airfield, 4400 km to Ukraine. A brilliant operation by the SBU to destroy the enemy's strategic aviation! This day will go down in history!

Tired of propagandists and 'agents of influence' who promote autocratic regimes like Russia or China—using their roles as academics, authors, former military, or diplomats to spread lies beyond social media and into mainstream discourse? 5 key indicators to expose them! 🧵

Here is how it felt to be in Mariupol when Russia started bombing it in 2022. And this morning the person responsible for the bombing was kіlled in Russia, by a grеnade. It’s nearly not enough, but it’s a start. If you haven’t yet watched “20 days in Mariupol” - take it as a sign to do it ⬇️

“We have pro-Russian books in our bookstores. We have pro-Russian academics (worldwide). We have pro-Russian narratives in our talk shows (the false balance problem), and we see Russian diplomats and propagandists as interview partners" 🔗 www.ukrinform.net/rubric-polyt...

1/7 How Ukraine can accelerate the end of the war and deter russian strikes on civilians: hit back with more frequent and larger deep strikes inside russia to increase the cost of war for them

#DisinfoConsequences3: Policy in a Hall of Mirrors What happens when governments start responding to lies instead of facts? You get fake problems with real policies. Confused citizens. Performative fixes. And budgets spent fighting ghosts.

“With an economy the size of Texas and collapsing demographics, Russia knows it is no global superpower. Rather, it is a bloodsucking kleptocracy anchored in a dream of colonization — incapable of delivering prosperity to the people, but skilled at peddling fantasies of greatness...”

US #tariffs could lay the foundations for a greater international role for the #euro. To sustain this, Europe needs to accelerate its reform agenda, as outlined by Draghi, & advance the savings and investment union. R Cardani, M KĂźhl, J Peppel-Srebrny, R Strauch cepr.org/voxeu/column... #EconSky

Russia can sustain its military for a foreseeable future. Forcing it to accept lasting peace will require radically different methods from the ones currently utilized by Ukraine and its allies.

We at ridl.io are launching a new 10-piece series on Russia’s capacity to continue the war in Ukraine. First piece by Vladislav Inozemtsev on the Russian economy’s ability to sustain current levels of military spending over the next 12−18 months ridl.io/russian-mili...

Never forget that the Nazis and the Russians held a joint military parade to celebrate their invasion of Poland on September 22, 1939. Russia loved the Nazis when they thought the Nazis would help them steal their neighbors' land. The May 9th Victory Day Parade is a joke. youtu.be/Gu1d_fPBa-8?...

China’s rhetoric on rules-based trade, saving multilateralism may contrast with Trump but it is largely vacuous. And its call for multipolarity (read: large powers drive “might makes right”) should also be seen sceptically.

35 years ago, the Supreme Soviet of Latvia adopted the declaration "On the Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia", starting a transition period towards full independence. The best way to celebrate this day is to donate to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. stopify.org.ua

A graphic insight into how russian infoops work.

1/7 Imperialist Hypocrites: russia is the most imperialist state out there

“Putin’s ideology is simple: it doesn’t change the human but convinces them they already embody the ideal. This is why «traditional values» seem most convenient ideological choice:they don’t need to be formulated or created—they simply exist and always have”

1/5 What russia is doing in Ukraine constitutes a genocide. If you disagree, you either don’t know the definition of genocide or are unaware of the facts of russia’s war on Ukraine

If it were not so tragic, the Trump destruction of the US economy would be comical. Trump wants to go back to William McKinley's harmful tariff of 1890. He wanted to raise US tariffs from 2.5% to 28%. Trump wants to tariffs to be the main tax, but just 1% of GDP. /1

US administration would be wise to learn from the EU's past experience (I'm not expecting they will) of offering economic benefits to Russia in the hope of solving strategic disagreements. Russia won't give up its geopolitical goals in exchange for economic partnership with US (or Europe).

Sumy wasn’t a mistake. It was murder, it was a war crime. And unless Europe steps up, it will go unpunished.

Exactly 🎯

Today, as on all days, Ukrainians totally see the connection between meekly engaging with a fascist dictator and encouraging yet more aggression from the dictator. A meme is worth a million words.

💔 A mother comforts her child after Russian attack on Sumy. So far, officials report 21 killed and 83 wounded, including seven children.
