6/6 Europe can thank Ukraine for destroying these russian strategic bombers, as today’s events will not only save Ukrainian lives but also those of other Europeans in the future. Thank you!

Unfortunately, in case of hostilities our skies will be difficult to defend due to small distances to Russian launch sites, but the positive of it is that St.Pt and Königsberg will also become no-fly frontline cities.

Very true. Had the same thought recalling unrecognized drone flights near NATO military installations.

Spot on! Ukraine needs massive and sustained long range strikes on key Russian oil and other commodity assets to starve putler’s export revenues. Europe should put maximum efforts to scale up Ukrainian and European longe range strike weapon production.

Living next to Russia, we always saw the disproportionate military presence on our borders so this news is nothing new.

In addition, a significant levies should be imposed on any trade and human movement that is left between Europe and Russia. The funds to be used for aid and future reconstruction of Ukraine.

European assets are effectively already seized or held hostage in Russia. Any sane investor has already written them off. Personally I would very much welcome such move by Russia so that no normal Western investor even contemplates return to Russia.

Valid assessment which presumes that war will not affect pillars of Russian economy. Which probably means that the only way for Ukraine to achieve breakthough is massive increase in regular long range attacks aimed at crippling commodity production and exports. How would that change the assessment?

French of the three is probably most popular and could be even more, if again not for the lack of teachers even worse than German. Polish offered in the few Polish minority schools, Swedish most likely not available at all.

Theoretically, if there are enough teachers to teach German which is not the case. Russian is still taught as elective subject and many parents still choose it due to lack of alternatives. But the trend is clear - majority of Latvian speaking youth wont understand and speak Russian within 10 years.

One should also keep in ming that cutting government functions does not always mean net financial savings. As the most obvious example, like cutting IRS audits and enforcement will actually result in less net revenue for the government.

And that “cheap” gas was not even that cheap in general (when using TTF as a benchmark, for example).

I don’t mind if Kursk, Rostov and Belgorod are included among those. If not for Witkoff, that should have been the way to negotiate.

And if Western countries are still afraid to supply Ukraine with weapons to do this, then at least do all in our powers to help Ukraine to scale up domestic production of long range missiles in Ukraine. 🚀🚀🚀

Too narrow, it should stretch until Ural mountains.
