DFRC Long Run 1:51:00 @ 10:45 1:51:05 @ 13:35 8.14mi 75F light rain I knew I’d be weak today, but that was still disappointing. I didn’t come out strong and I think I need to force myself to come out stronger, to set the standard. Try to do it next week. Got my goal for weekly distance though.

DFRC Threshold 4x 6min @ 8:50 6/6, 6/6, 3/6, 1/6, 16/24 total 67-76F heat index A hard one today. The shorter bursts come with two minute recovery periods between, and that’s harder for me. I’m very proud to have gotten both of the first 6. Heat was a factor today too, could feel it pressing.

DFRC Base 42min @ 10:45 52:50 4.5 @ 11:44 62-72F sunny and breezy Developed severe left knee pain last night. Some of it went away overnight but I knew the run would hurt. The first half mile was very difficult but I did well through the allotted time. I’m trying to extend though.

I’ve been watching the new Anne Shirley anime while I write lately. Never read the original novels, but we watched the 85 CBC adaptation a million times in the 90s. This version makes the wealth difference between Diana and Anne very clear in a way o didn’t notice in the 85 one.
