19) I wouldn't say there are "scary" moments in "He Came and Went", though hopefully there are some suspenseful ones. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

17) "A pulse of anger swept through me then. Of all the times this could have happened… 'Don't try and stop me, Kunoc,' I said, reaching for my knife." #FantasyIndiesMaytober

16) Well, I read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH back in January. That was pretty good. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

15) Oh, hell no! I can scarcely imagine the reviews on something like this. x3 #FantasyIndiesMaytober

14) Well, Akona's father has a scheme to set him and his btother up to marry some prominent does in the tribe. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

13) The "villain" is the protagonist's father, so they don't really see one another as adversaries, no. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

12) He has no quirks: he's not really the focus of the story. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

11) No monsters that I know of. Just the "monsters within," I guess. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

10) Might not keep this part, but: "I tried to put it out of my mind, but to no avail. How could I? That beautiful face, those smiling eyes, that endearing personality...gone forever." #FantasyIndiesMaytober

Okay, he said he's planning to hit several events this year, and would be "glad to help a fellow indie." Said to go ahead and email [email protected] to work something out. Hope that helps! >^_^<

Yo, my publisher does cons and other venues all the time! I could definitely set you up with something there.

9) I...don't really watch stuff anymore. ._. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

Ditto, dude.

8) The "villain" here is strong and maintains order, but at the cost of a rigid social system that turns a blind eye to any kind of individualism...including from his own son. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

That sounds pretty lame, man. I'm sorry.

7) It's not long enough to get into that kind of detail, but they definitely have myths in this world. Like how The One sowed many seeds (stars/worlds), but they were overcrowded, so He called the great crow Tumaa to eat some. Thus, crows are sacred birds. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

6) Kona fears his forbidden relationship being discovered by his father. Not only is homosexuality against his tribe's law, but so is contact with members of another tribe. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

5) The "villain" of this story is the protagonist's father. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

4) Er...Not really. It's romance: not horror. ._. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

3) "At first I was annoyed, then I began to worry. What had happened to him? Had he been injured? Killed? Had his tribe up and left in the middle of the night? All sorts of possibilities flooded my head, mostly bad." #FantasyIndiesMaytober

Ignore previous: this is the one I'll be doing. So, with that said... 2) I'd say the authors I'm most inspired by are Brian Jacques, M. I. McAllister, and Kyell Gold. #FantasyIndiesMaytober

And I thought 120 secs was tough! Are they trying to squeeze in more dancers by cutting it down or something?

30) April has been...something. I'm glad I participated in this #FantasyIndiesApril thing, and feel that it did help me brainstorm a bit for my new story. I hope and pray that it will be my best one yet!

29) Hmm...Well, Kennic goes for a swim every morning. That's how he meets Tunoc for the first time. #FantasyIndiesApril

Honestly, finding the right balance between plot and action. Gotta' keep the intimate moments spaced out enough that they don't lose their impact or become monotonous while not getting so caught up in the other aspects of the story that it hardly seems like a proper romance book at all.

While Alar was my fave overall, I kind of liked writing Adam's parts more because of his deeper emotional complexity. #TheAlarSaga

27) I enjoy the outlining process and seeing the finished product. Everything in between can have its moments, but mostly it's just pushing through to the finish. #FantasyIndiesApril

26) "With a massive effort he managed to leverage himself up onto his knees...He worked one knee out from under him and paused. Heaving a deep sigh, he placed all his weight on that leg and heaved himself up until at last he stood upright." #TheAlarSaga #FantasyIndiesApril

24) The squirrels in these tribes only have one name, with an epithet given to very extraordinary squirrels. So, while those on intimate terms will sometimes shorten the names (Ken and Tu, for instance), they tend to be proud of and use their full names. #FantasyIndiesApril

Right on, man! I'm a little skeptical myself, but they claim to have a lot of visitors, so we'll see.
