Xiaolongbao from the original Din Tai Fung - had to get takeaway because they were just closing, safe to say I've never eaten this well from a bedside table in a budget hotel before 🥟🇹🇼

We need a deep dive into Sam Matterface going through the Primavera (I think?) lineup with Lee Dixon like he was reeling off a starting XI before kick off. Also, I emailed over a superb football person's name in something.

You're gonna look pretty silly when he bags a hat-trick in the opening 10 minutes of this second half...

The water is even more blue and clear than it looks in any photo I've seen of the place - like a series of lakes made out of Walter White's crystal meth

It's actually a fairly recent phenomenon - the first officially recorded one was in Longtan Park in Beijing in 2004, where retirees would meet to try and pair up their unmarried grown up children, but they've since spread throughout the country

I'm here with a big group of foreigners from all over the world who've never been before so I've assumed the role of defacto tour guide and I absolutely love it - showing people somewhere you love and watching them get excited about it is just a really great way to get to know someone new

Last but by no means least, it's the ring finger - 无名指 Wúmíngzhǐ. This literally means 'no named finger' suggesting they could no longer be arsed to think of clever names and had given up. I like it though, very mysterious. Who is this nameless digit? Where did he come from? What's his story etc.

Next up, we have the index finger - 食指 Shízhǐ. This one is great, it literally means 'food finger' because it's the finger you use for food when there's no chopsticks required. Very important to keep this one clean, you never know when it'll be called into action.

But if we move on to the thumb things start to get interesting - 大拇指 Dàmǔzhǐ. This literally means 'big mother finger'. Are the rest of the fingers the big mother's children in this scenario? Is it just being described as a "big mamma"? I'm not sure, but I do like it. Very evocative.

Said it at the time and I'll say it again, squirrels don't hibernate. I can't remember what that was in reference to, but one of you definitely said it.

Absolutely loved this, Jack - if you ever want to foray into travel journalism, give me a shout. You're clearly wasted in football.
