They put out a new album in the last few years and a new single last month. They spend early May doing 5 shows around the LA & SoCal area to raise money for victims of the fires. The Slackers are doing well, and the Slackers are doing good.

No lies detected! I just may head to a 7-11 fountain tomorrow to hook that up!

I haven't had the zero sugar version, but the regular full sugar version I really liked. It's like Livewire plus Baja Blast and I found it better than either on their own.
I guess you can't trust my Dew recommends...

Oof, that's a tough one... for a long time the only legal purchase I could find for this act was for their final single "Dan!Dan!Dan!" but seeing how they had a live show earlier this year, I hope this changes soon!

Ha! That might be a bit too far for me, but I'd ask you what you thought about a pizza flavored Dew

It was only for like 2005, I came back in 2006... jeeze ska, stop being so clingy
After the first 11 years a guy needs a break!

I think their issue is that I take ska too seriously, for their name at least
I admit, my response to them was a little hyperbolic, but don't come w/ a stupid name looking for promo
Full disclosure, I suggested the band to my former co-hosts now, BECAUSE I've been gone so long
I ain't no saint

Kinda, especially when I told my former co-hosts they should book said band...
Also, have a stupid band name, don't expect folks not to tell you that your band has a stupid name, right?

Yeah! Early to mid '80s was very much avocado green, burnt orange and brown w/ specks of mustard yellow! Every old garage fridge in the '90s was an old brown one from the '80s!
Just because the Rubix's cube was colorful, doesn't mean thr rest if the '80s were

AND TEAL, bright effin' teal was EVERYWHERE in the '90s! Paper cups to sports teams!
I also recall a lot of bright orange, not the burnt/dark orange of the '70s/'80s
Jeeze, the brighter colors may've dipped from like '92 - '94 at best

I'll concede there was an uptick of offwhite, tan, maroon and mauve, but it was part of everything, not dominant for the whole decade
And that's just the clothes! And then just the clothes of the (mostly) white Midwestern kids I grew up with

For the record I made this years ago when I was still a major part of On the Upbeat, for the amusement of the other hosts
This ain't me being shady (for once)

Hrmmm... probably a convenient excuse and they know exactly what they're saying.
Then again, my time as a reddit mod may have made me cynical

Nah, I'm more depressed about it than in a "call out" mood
They've helped several folks I know get records out, so I can't endorse avoiding them
I just wish they'd shut their trap on social media

Ha, my band was never "good" but I always get lost listening to out stuff in the memories making it, creating it, playing it live, that I just enjoy it too much. (I even like my singing voice from back then)
