I mean I do think we deserve an answer about why @gettingviggy.bsky.social decided that hate crime isn't worth reporting well. I don't think he's incompetent.

Your regular reminder that there's a profession where the employees are so violent, so untrustworthy, that they are required by law to have personal video supervision every time they interact with the general public, just so there is any sort of factual record of what occurs.

The UK is building equality law around a bunch of insane people who believe they can 'always tell'.

Just another reminder that whenever @teamlabouruk.bsky.social talk about the getting people working again they don't actually _mean it_. They just want to stop spending money on real people rather than giving it out to businesses they like.

In an ideal world, we wouldn’t have hatred for one another. I sleep well at night, knowing I put into this world what I’d like to see more of. LGBTQ+ people exist, whether that bothers you or not. 💜

The Government Should Not Torture People™. Not if they’re trans. Or cis. Or children. Or adults. Or convicted of criminal offences. Or any kind of person whatsoever. No fucking torture.

And so many (women) have a professional story like this! Journalism is *bad* for this stuff — informal spaces, networks of connection, superstar individuals etc etc — but so is academia, and so is politics, and so are so many other professions.

Some of y’all noticed I’ve been uncharacteristically offline. This is why, and I remain on leave for a few weeks to handle a PTSD relapse. CJR was dogged in its pursuit of my story. Because of what I do and who I am, I felt that I had to answer their questions honestly. www.cjr.org/feature-2/we...

me: they think it should be illegal to have black people in positions of influence savvy, sophisticated pundits: don't be hysterical the trump administration:

I mean the @theguardian.com reporting speaks for itself. How can we expect Israel to sit back and do nothing when hundreds of people are being killed. Oh.... wait...But why would they phrase it like that then unless they were genocidal bastards?

There's a lot of focus here on the abortion law, but the larger story to me is that she went to the hospital with intense headaches, and the hospital did not run any tests or scans. Georgia's maternal mortality rate for Black women is 48.6 per 100,000 live births, compared to 22.7 for white women.

@theguardian.com have been real pricks forever, but this is special. Mark Brown (x.com/markbrown14) and the editors have decided that Peter's innocence is irrelevant to the story. No one should ever work with the journalists involved in this story ever again.

1. No, a bribe doesn't have to have a direct response either by dictionary definition _or US law_ 2. Corruption doesn't even have to be illegal Terms matter you ignorant fuck. Regardless of what @nytimes.com wants. Actually it's kind of important for a newspaper to deal in accuracy and fairness.

It's been obvious what's going on for a very long time. @katharineviner.bsky.social knows that targeting hospitals, cutting off water and food, forcibly displacing populations, are all crimes against humanity. It takes Israel literally saying out loud that they intend to destroy the people.

Only just realised I wasn't following Hookland here. Goodnight Lucia

It's a brutal time for young men, & to be raising one. The primary message they now get is "YOU'RE A SEWER TURTLE" without any meaningful attempt to offer healthy pathways beyond "a rat will train you to be a ninja.” Absolutely perfect time for right wing monsters to sweep in with Shreddy answers.

It's absolutely insane that anyone in the labour party is still listening to Tony Blair. He hasn't had any idea of what people want since the mid 90s, and then it was just "not Maggie Thatcher"; I'm perfectly capable of not being maggie too.

The current party is Clause 1 and Clause 1 only. They believe in nothing other than getting elected, which is self defeating because no one will vote for amoral empty suits.
