I'm pretty sure he doesn't think anyone in politics believes anything and they're all just playing a game (like him). He thinks no one else knows this and he's some kind of puppet master. He is not.

fair. I haven't looked at the implementations so disregard at will but I'd assume it's just a memory copy and then the same sort algorithm underlying. But if that's the case then it wouldn't explain a shorter array being more performant. So, yeah, need the data you're looking for.

not my creation, but www.measurethat.net/Benchmarks/S... suggests they're roughly equivalent at that length. I just forked www.measurethat.net/Benchmarks/S... for a small array and toSorted looks quicker there.

I mean I want to know, but I also know that if I ever do find out then I'm going to need an infinite supply of mind bleach to erase the memory.

I guess the modern equivalent would be a drone swarm. Surely it'd have to be massive to justify this though...

I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, but I also believe it was a chance to prove that I mean what I say to the women who have trusted me with theirs. I have to believe that there’s power in telling the truth — and in journalism.

"support diverted from certain subjects including journalism and media studies towards lab-based courses" we ALREADY DO THIS, it is why the tuition fee is the same for humanities subjects as STEM subjects, we cross-subsidize internally across faculties, why do no government ministers understand this

I mean I didn't know this before, and my honest reaction was "awwww, good for them, I like them both and I had no idea this was a thing". Pretty sure Big Satire isn't the reason she's getting any traction.

many people agree on the second sentence. the issue is what adequate oversight looks like. I think that's something we should be talking about.

People are asking questions about what actions Eric Lipton of the New York Times may or may not have taken under the mistaken belief that they were not corrupt.
