When I was in high school in 1967 "Dance to the Music" came on the radio and at first I didn't like it, then I couldn't get it out of my head. I finally bought Sly and the Family Stone's Greatest Hits and discovered a bunch of great songs. RIP Sly.

Agreed. BTW I saw the next show - also supposed to be at red rocks but moved indoors to mcnichols arena due to heavy rain.

My wife’s health will keep me home for a while so there are no shows in the near future for me.

That's great! I thought about a trip to Vegas to see D&C at the Sphere but prices of the whole trip scared me off. Turned out I would not have been able to go anyway so I'm glad I saved the money.

That's exactly the sort of thing we had. I spent HOURS in the chair that was in front of that, right between the speakers.

All four of those albums were in my house that year. I turned 13 that summer and I got Sgt Pepper from my (older) brother for my birthday, bought both Monkees albums and my parents had Sound of Music as one of their handful of albums. For Christmas 1966 they bought a stereo in a big wooden cabinet.

I knew there would be something! Seriously, though, looking forward to listening. They clearly picked the A-Team this year. :)

I git it - there are artists who I know I ought to like and just can't get there.
