It's not even just the biggest cons that are running into those issues; one of my local cons barely had any growth last year because there simply wasn't any room without trying to book a convention centre

Going through most of my education before Wikipedia existed, it was drilled into my head that everything needed a citation. Even the inferences I thought were obvious when I derived them from other statements with citations.
