“And don’t forget, after the election, you’ll have to KEEP not talking about it or letting the white folks see it, or else you’ll lose the next election!” In other words, to avoid the fascist takeover, we should act like fascists. Got it.

Yes. ALL POLITICS ARE IDENTITY POLITICS. Anyone who encourages us to avoid identity politics is asking us to have the decency to at least pretend we’re white supremacists, for chrissakes! That’s the only way we can win! (And then, of course, we’ll have to keep pretending after we win… fancy that…)

It really irritates me when I come across people my rough age who deny this switch happened even though I know for a fact they lived through it. I can understand someone in their 20s falling for this bs, but if you’re 50 or older and you fall for it, you are willfully ignorant.

Remember, folks, these shitbirds are constitutional “originalists”—they support the idea of our government being run exclusively by wealthy white men, with women being silent and black people being LITERALLY less than human.

I tell all of my friends to download the Taskmaster Supermax app, which has the first series of The Horne Section TV Show in addition to all the Taskmasters. And I do mean ALL of my friends. So we’re talking a good $150 in revenue here…

Excellent news! I’ve seen the first series three times now, so the time is right!

I’m at the other end of the spectrum since I listen to very few podcasts (and mostly, I listen to podcasts about British comedy, like Taskmaster and Off Menu), but THIS? Oh yeah, I’ll be devoting what’s left of my tiny attention span to this…

While I understand that it’s difficult to view your own work objectively, I agree: this was a good Closer Look. (Even by the standards of typical Closer Looks, which is ridiculously high…)

It could be worse—he could have just seen Escape from New York…

Just once, I’d love to see Democrats respond to polls like these as opportunities to educate the voters instead of capitulate to their ignorance.

I’ll cast the only vote you’re likely to see for Blake Edwards’ S.O.B.

The Republicans message as well as they do because they aren’t hampered by niceties like truth and reality. If your message is bullshit, it’s a LOT easier to stick to. (And if it’s bullshit that tickles a white supremacist’s fancy, all the better.)

It may not be sustainable in the long term, but the strategic stockpile of stupidity we’ve amassed over the last fifty years will feed this nonsense for a good long time.

The problem here is that Trump’s base IS voting for their interests—they just have different interests. They don’t want to lose their Social Security, but they REALLY want someone to kick, preferably someone who can’t kick back.

They aren’t even competent as criminals, sex pests, drunks, and clowns. The only qualifications they have—the only qualifications they care about—are their white skin and their disdain for anyone who doesn’t have the same.
