Regular liberal people must come to understand that there is no way you can appease Nazis and especially that there is no way that you can shrink yourself so they won't hurt you. Their main goal is to hurt you.

When you see liberal scolding of protest, just send them this message below. Do not split.

“You can’t talk about how bad the police are; normies don’t like it and they’ll vote against the Democrats” drives me nuts. We have thousands of local fascist paramilitary organizations that pose a consistent threat to people of color. We actually have to try to stop the fucking fascists.

Don't listen to the people bleating on social media that "no one is doing anything." What they are actually saying is that THEY aren't doing anything. The reality is that folks are working in every corner of the world, doing so much to keep themselves and others alive, while building the future.

To be clear, this is what an insurrection looks like:

What’s going on in LA is important; for precisely that reason, please be careful what you share, both in terms of confirming that it’s true and considering whether it’s wise

The LA protests will trigger a drumbeat of "law and order" messaging from the White House and their media allies as a prelude to invoking the Insurrection Act. This is entirely predictable, and any Dem or media outlet that facilitates this narrative will be aiding Trump's authoritarian project.

On this day in 1966, James Meredith was shot on the second day of his 220-mile "March Against Fear" to encourage Black voter registration and defy white supremacy across the South.

every single day it feels like we are living in a shitty YA novel written by a tween with moderate to severe brain damage from an inhalant addiction

Don’t print lies in the newspaper Don’t keep hosting the far right authoritarians who engage in serial performative lying on your TV shows Don’t keep asking “Is the sun going to rise in the east?” when you can simply look outside & observe the direction of the sunrise What is journalism, anyway?

Raskin: This is a gangster state. This is not basically a legitimate government that is sometimes doing corrupt things. This is an essentially corrupt enterprise. It's like watching The Sopranos. Every day, they get up and they try to figure out how to plunder and pillage the people

The zoning board is back in session.

“Without widespread theft, my industry can’t survive” is an argument against your industry surviving, and is not an argument for allowing widespread theft

Sounds like a win-win situation to me

When will this media reckoning come? I’m thinking never. New from me https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/may/17/trump-biden-election-media-coverage?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

given the overwhelming number of targets with the trump administration and the republican majority in congress, it is actually bonkers to think that democrats have anything to gain from litigating biden. let the guy disappear and focus on the stuff that is unpopular with voters!

Rep. Julie Johnson to Noem: "Are you aware that ICE agent jackets are available on Etsy for $20? Anybody can throw a mask on and run around and terrorize people of color without any regard for the law because your agency does not have proper protocols to make sure your agents are clearly identified"

"We're not letting this administration fear monger us. They want immigrants to be running around scared, looking over their shoulder. We're not going to live like that." Judge finds Iraq war veteran can be deported, despite decades of lawful residence www.azcentral.com/story/news/p...

It shouldn't have to be said but if you're law enforcement and you have to cover up your face while doing your job, you are not the good guys in this situation.

Breaking: The Supreme Court announces that publication of Justice Alito’s dissent in the deportation case will be delayed as it is translated from its original German.

It rules that this is the technology that destroyed my livelihood

So it looks like this is gonna be a great moment to be getting organized. The Autonomous Tenants Union Network is hosting a virtual training Sunday at 7:30pm on how to start organizing your fellow renters, for those of you who are looking to do more. SIgn up @ us02web.zoom.us/meeting/regi...

“Put them in order of hair.”

gee i wonder why voters might've been confused about the existential stakes of the last election

It shouldn't have to devastate you personally to care about it. You should be able to look at someone else's pain and go "that's terrible, I wouldn't want that for myself, we should do something about that." Like. This is kindergarten shit.

Important for all of us but especially journalists.

Love this! #TeslaTakeDown Remember Fannie Lou Hamer's words: "There is one thing you have got to learn about our movement. Three people are better than no people.”

i really don’t want to hear another word about why we’re yelling at democrats.

Thank you, Senator, for listening to your constituents.

CNBC is calling it the Tesla Chain Saw Massacre. 🤣

Some of his readers have asked Mike Masnick @mmasnick.bsky.social why his technology news site, Tech Dirt, has been covering politics so intensely lately. www.techdirt.com/2025/03/04/w... I cannot recommend Mike's reply enough. It's exactly what readers need to hear, what journalists need to do.

Use their constituent offices as mutual aid hubs from 6 am to midnight. Invite constituents to drop by to share stories about what they are currently doing to support themselves and OTHERS at this time. Members could create a collective asset map using all info gathered. Compile it & share it back.

Melissa Harris-Perry. Tiffany Cross. Alex Wagner. Joy Reid. I'm sure there's a pattern here but I can't quite put my finger on what it could be. (/s)

Word of the day, for the umpteenth time, is ‘apricate’, the sister of ‘apricity’. It means to bask in the warmth of the sun, especially on a chilly day.

YES IN A SHOCKING TURN OF EVENTS THE NARCISSISTIC FASCIST IS DOING ALL THE THINGS HE SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS SAYING HE WOULD DO

They got a poll (probably) which said people support reducing the federal workforce and they are so popularism-brained that they can't game this out any further
