Mao Ning has not said anything like this at all. You can see the shipping volumes in real time here. If you have sources, please share them. volumes.portoptimizer.com

Walmart has notified Chinese suppliers to resume shipping goods that were temporarily halted due to the tariff war at the beginning of the month. The tariffs will be borne by U.S. buyers.

Context doesn’t matter when you’re huffing the cyanide gas.

Perhaps once we develop the first warp drive and achieve first contact with the Vulcans, that will bring humanity together. One must try to remain vigilant yet hopeful in times like these.

This is not the future I envisioned growing up watching the original Trek.

This Spock clip was from “Patterns of Force” when a planet of Nazis was discovered by the Federation. This episode was banned in Germany.

I keep hoping that we will find a "as a black man" alt for him. Or a funnier one would be "as a gay/trans man/person" alt.

It’s going to end like the escape from LA and NY movies.

Yes this is very similar - like Italians or Irish immigrants in the 50s and 60s. The Miami Cubans and the Vietnamese boat people or are like this too. “Whiteness” is not about color- it’s about belonging to the majority culture.
comment in response to post
It depends on how old country his parents are. If they are old school caste would matter for marriage and family. If they are the assimilation immigrants they would have tried to leave a lot of that behind and try to adopt values of the new culture.

I was disagreeing- I have same background as him we went to the same university. I was a few years ahead of him. These guys just want to be in the white club.

The Chinese cities also have battery swapping stations for public vehicles and Didi cars in addition to the charging stations. The quality of Chinese built EVs is amazing.

This exchange is fascinating because I’ve never seen so many fallacies in every single assertion. It’s been entertaining to predict your responses, which were very predictable, and watch you “Gish gallop” hither and yon but alas I must bid you adieu.

The political terms left and right have specific definitions. Left - equality and change, right - tradition and class hierarchy. Nazis believed in class and race hierarchy. They were not socialists, they were far-right. Eugenics in the Progressive era in America was introduced by Republicans.
comment in response to post
That you think that Nazis were leftists is more amusing than your original premise.

The Lysenko stuff is just moving the goalposts. Boring. Try this argument... " the extreme right and left wings of the political spectrum encourage scientific and academic ignorance to promote misinformation, manipulate facts and enforce authoritarianism leading to the rise of fascism. "
comment in response to post
Stalin was skeptical about Lysenkoism - for Stalin it was a means to an end. Four pests in China was ren ding sheng tian. Man over nature. These are ideological principles not based on science. Same is true for eugenics and the Holocaust. Trying to generalize these concepts is a logical fallacy.
comment in response to post
I’d suggest reading Kotkin’s two books about Stalin if you are interested in Stalinism and it’s relationship to science. You have it backwards. The CCCP leadership saw science as a tool to win the battle of ideology against the west of that time period.
comment in response to post
Ha. Autocorrect. Missing a y. Entymology not entomology. It’s a type of fallacy where the words you’re using aren’t what they really mean. Broad generalizations about the West or Science fall into those categories. These are errors of logic or thought.
comment in response to post
Impressive. You’ve managed to nest 2 fallacies in one statement. Possibly three. Equivocation and entomology. I don’t think that this will be a productive debate because you don’t know what you don’t know.

That you think this “Left” with a capital “L”is a single entity and you know what “it” wants is amusing.

Thank you for putting the lists together. They were a great head start!!!! It is amazing how quiet this place is in comparison to the hell site. The bots and spam had their own background noise - coming here is like living near a busy highway and then moving to the countryside.
