Great image. I can feel and smell it almost as well as I can see it.

There’s stupid and then there’s STUPID!

It’s not a win until he is completely defeated; we’re simply in a winning position and, frankly, keep the game going because his responses are undermining (underwhining 😛) the big TACO.

Put this in your search box ‘ Youtube “Pride Morris” “Queers of Joy” ‘ They have members around Australia, usually from other teams. I’m the Australian Morris Dance Archivist, keeping track is err interesting.

As a supporter of Pride Morris (Morris being an English dance form); I heartily support this too.

Generally I'm not great lover of artifical colours in hair, but this, THIS is just magnificent!

And the first of many disappointing decisions that will flow like sludge under risk averse Albo.

Who da fuck would want to be trapped inside a dome with the US … the land where literally anybody can become president, no matter how dumb.

Recently diagnosed following pancreatic failure, I have seen the recipes recommended and frankly would rather eat my own toenails.

The trouble is using ‘fewer’ in the presence of Donny Twodolls gets a reply of ‘Ja’ pron. jar

I got told by a supervisor at the same level as MY supervisor that she would not have employed me as the job needed a woman in that senior position. I always wished they had employed somebody else, it was a shitty, nightmare job. I left when my contract expired, despite them offering permanency.

Good on you Peter, a really nice gesture

I had one of these when I joined the merchant navy; took it with me to listen to my music … rolling waves added a certain randomness to the sound and I left it for the next guy when I changed ships

My PhD supervisor called me ‘The Master of Precise Imprecision’ because of my ability to understand the kind of subtle division to which you refer.

Of course not amongst the many reasons they’re called ‘moderates’ is that they act in ways to avoid damaging the party. The right don’t care, they’d rather tear it all down and rebuild from the rubble. And I say that as a rusted on leftie!

No way to go to the US in the near term, though.

I’ve thought for a long time that it was a ‘hidden ‘ police state, so many levels of law enforcement, so much incarceration, to me, were the evidence of that. The added level of ICE in the street has merely placed an even more visible level over what already existed.

Nah. Changing their policies is more than enough

Make it an Appendix and just get it out of your system; then before submitting, look again and decide oif t’s needed! That’s what I did with my own obsessions that were cluttering my PhD

This is the US equivalent of Rome starting to withdraw the legions and abandoning their colonies. Only in the modern world it’s happening fast enough to see.

The vignetting really adds to the haunting atmosphere of the image, to me.

As a curator in a ‘Heritage Village’, I was regularly offered buildings like this to move and put in the ‘village’. People could not understand that, in many ways, they added more to life by just being left alone. The roofing ‘tin’ with no corrugations is new to me.

When I 'doing' my Ph.D 25 years ago I was advised to look for possible publishable papers as I was writing because that's more important than the actual degree when it comes to academia ....

This is one of my favourite walks too. I was never a photographer and am now too frail for international travel. Thank you so very much for this, I have tears in my eyes and joy in my heart.

“Where weather is never the issue” I beg to differ and I’ve lived in both Nordrhein-Westfalen and Victoria. Germans are prepared for inevitable bad weather, Melburnians always seem surprised by it and unable to cope. Personal opinion!

I left Forres and the UK in 1972 one of the things I really missed was Tunnocks. Today in this interconnected world I can buy them again - 'off the shelf' at the supermarket in back of beyond, Victoria, Australia

Onecof my fondest memories is cycling in Scotland as a teen, rounding a corner and seeing right in front of me a Stoat rolling an egg across the lane. It was parti-coloured still losing winter white but mostly brown. A visual gallimaufry.
