Same old, grumpy retired ATC...just a bunch older. Spending the kids' inheritance on model railroads.

That's what happens when you don't spend enough money on mental health programs and support.

Tell me mental health support is hard to find without telling mental health support is hard to find.

Ah! The Bristol Basturd. Fortunately canceled after a few were made, following Tupolev's successful lawsuit for non-payment of royalties for the cockpit design. Salvaged materials were used to produce 62000 cheap kitchen pots.

Recruitment may be one issue. It also seems to be a desire to remove humans from the loop (see 'loyal wingman') in a dream of remote warfare. I'll also bet the simple cost has risen so high due to waiting too long to develop a program. Strikes 1, 2 and 3.

That seems like a pretty hefty emitter/array to affect 210nm at 50ft agl. Nicely in the routes Tex & Fla to/from LAX

My first reaction was that the Tribal Police were getting a little too serious about protecting Treaty lands. 😄

I think the county still has to sign off and then get environmental approval, and they aren't known for speed. Dragging it out to 2028 isn't going to help the orders.

I haven't seen anything firm on development approvals yet from the MD, or did I miss it? Once that goes through I suspect the shovels will hit the ground quick, but still has to be a year for building.

There were 3 C-17s in on Tues (IIRC) which would likely be the Osprey delivery. One was flying yesterday. Sound is diff. but like a heavy heli. I got my flyover but smoke was bad.

I know that you know, but a lot see it as a simple comparison, ignoring the magnitude increase in seats available and simple competition for starters. 🫣

But using an inflation calculator is somewhat misleading (although I do it too) as it doesn't account for the lower fares today. OW Main Cabin on AA shows as $863 for 16 June

When I was in Yellowknife in 89 and MB was burning, our vsby at the airport got as low as 1/4 SM in smoke. The effects are far-reaching and unhealthy.

Having worked in the industry, I hate slow play, but I guess I could just blame it on age (or senility?).

Wonder if I'd get harassed for slow play on the McCall Lake GC...

Nah. It's more like Geordie plugging an extension cord into a kitchen outlet, running it out a window, 75 ft to the shed so he can hook up 4 fridges, a microwave, a TV and a table saw so the boys can come over on Saturday to drink beer and build bookcases 'cause he can't afford an electrician.

If you have time b4 your flight to YXE, The aviation museum thehangarmuseum.ca is a good visit. CPKC is pretty tight about public trainspotting.

Agile enough. During development when the AAC was considering canceling it, someone got the idea to go head-to-head with Joe Foss in a Corsair. After 1hr30 it was considered a draw. The side mounted guns were, however, intended for the ground attack role.

You're in the IoT... when you enter the hangar and remove the cowl, an alert is sent to the tool truck.

By the time you're in a spin, you are past the "awareness" stage (likely because of other things occupying your mind). At that point, all you have left is memory triggering learned responses. Never having been there, it's a little late to review hypothetical methods. - so I was told 60yrs ago.
