Indie author and webcomic creator. I make my comics without relying on my drawing skills or AI. https://inky-intro.carrd.co/ I'm terrified of people, so I do my best to be kind and if that fails, I just do my best to avoid them. I watch and rate movies.

Watching the Žižek-Peterson debate from 6 years ago. It's a strange feeling to see my pessimism about the left and right, about the state of things validated by Žižek. Then again, I should find ways to question it, because I'm so impressionable I used to find Peterson's stances appealing years ago.

I miss having VHS and dvd rentals around. I could pretend to have my own Criterion closet picks.

Watched Cronenberg's: The Shrouds. If cinema is dead, movies are corpses and we're happy to watch them rot away in hopes of getting a glimpse at something real, of living in the creator's mind enough to understand what makes him him! No love or intimacy. Just jelousy, paranoia, possessiveness.

I'd be a masochist to watch the Tony awards. Like... here's a bunch of great looking plays, over 95% of which you'll never get the chance to see!

Today's #DDNewspost has a bunch of #webcomic #news! @robinholden.bsky.social 's Imago Nebraska finishes chapter 9, congrats! @headypigeon4180.bsky.social reaches the 925th page milestone, wow! And you still can enter the #DDAwards trophy contest! Read it all here! shorturl.at/vuTIF

Villains in Blessed Days 1. A corrupt, racist Mountie. 2. Two angels, who become arch enemies after one falls in love. 3. A golem-child who wound up in the past (time storm) and grew up to be vengeful. 4. A neurotic ex-marionettist who yearns self-control but instead he can control people's minds.

I think romantic stories where trust is damaged but love heals everything and no matter what happens all is forgiven and the couple lives out their lives happily ever after are getting some criticism lately, so allow me to clarify something: my webcomic Imago, Nebraska is not interested in that.

Watching The Umbrella Academy, mostly dubbed, to learn Spanish. It's scary how much of this is the similar to my comic: Blessed Days. People with numbers and special abilities gathering in a mansion to try and stop the Apocalypse? A kid who's cognitively an adult from a post-apocalyptic future?

Five fave black and white films High and Low (1963) Soy Cuba (1964) La Commune (Paris, 1871) (2000) Werckmeister Harmonies (2000) Lola (2023) <- I was torn between this and My Winnipeg, but I feel like Guy Madding made his name and Lola is still a hidden gem.

Honestly, you grow up watching Disney princesses going against their parents, going against the world, doing their own thang and say: you go girl, but you give a 19 years old orphan shit for not wanting to spend the next 12 years of her life doing shitty jobs and taking the role of a parent/guardian

Watching Big Mouth. I think it's genius and is probably a more effective tool for sexual education than any school program out there. Teenagers can't talk about these things seriously without making it awkward so adult humor is the perfect proxy to learn more even if it's officially not for teens.

Imago, Nebraska's: The Book of Spring might end in a little over a month, but The Book of Summer is already in development and the story should return in Aug with most of its characters + lots of new ones AND brand new visuals that'll look a bit like this! Read now! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fHx...

I never leave laughing smileys under people's posts as a mean gesture, like "lol, you're ridiculous". Never. You don't find that toxic, because you're used to it, but it's fucking bad and if someone would just walk up to you and laugh in your face in person, you'd probably contemplate punching them.

Oh yeah! My comic The Odds updated recently! Next update in about a week or so. www.theduckwebcomics.com/The_Odds/

Man, they've already teased like what... six methods of death out of the new Final Destination movie? Solely in promos. They're either killing a small army in that or they're spoiling the entire movie and people somehow still enjoy it.

Drawing your very own custom speech bubbles is easy if you know how to do it! Under 1 minute in Krita, my short tutorial: www.theduckwebcomics.com/The_St_Inky_...

I love blues as much as the next person, but to be fair, in Sinners, the vampires had me at Rocky Road to Dublin.
