I haven't seen it below $2.85-$2.90 in Kansas City, KS/MO, and it usually costs a little less here than in other cities around the country. (Wages are lower, too, and the average rent for a small one-bedroom apartment in the metro area is almost $1,300/month and climbing.)

Got notice today from Citi Card (Citi Bank) that they're raising my APR to 24.99% to align w/ others who have a "similar credit rating" (still above 700). Paid ALL my CCs off a year ago, but had to use it for black mold damage/treatment/a move while unemployed. STILL waiting on insurance $. #slimy

States won't feel it in their budgets until next year. When red/rural states can't afford to absorb the cost he's shifted to the states, they'll slash programs/funding that directly impact many more than just the poorest and most vulnerable. But Fox News will convince them it's Biden's fault. #sigh

Maybe we work on the fact that, regardless of issue, at least 15% of those polled " aren't sure". I know politics and law can be heady topics, but there is no excuse for anyone in this country to stick their head in the sand. If you're not sure, do your homework and figure it out! #freedomaintfree

Not that anything this administration does makes sense, but it's laughable that they want to privatize K-12 education and take over higher education. Clearly, their agenda has nothing to do with saving people money. The goal is to eliminate the Dept. of Ed., so I hope people read the tea leaves!

Senator Warren, is the possibility being addressed that this administration WANTS to create an uprising Trump can deem a "civil war" so he can "legally" declare martial law and do whatever he wants without having to battle it out in the courts? #ScaryTimes #ThePurge

And don't forget the power in numbers of extreme conservative Christian nationalists (AND their money) who believe the Handmaid's Tale is their Utopia/God's will!

And yet we can't even get a simple majority in Congress to act responsibly and stop the madness. Invoking the 25th amendment should have already been considered by now, but we are paralyzed as a government. When unethical politicians gain power, they change the rules to keep it that way. #25thA

Received this email the other day. Working- class folks won't be able to afford simple appliances, let alone transportation, groceries and other essentials! And we have no protections against companies who take advantage and raise prices under the guise of the tariff war. Please keep fighting!

And they're probably just as ignorant about what professions require college degrees (not to mention licenses for some). Imagine a country without teachers, counselors/psychologists, other medical professionals, certified accountants, lawyers, police officers in some states, scientists, etc.

Too many D's in Congress seem blind to the fact that procedural, functional ways of governing have already gone out the window. It's as if they can't fathom that, in order for us to have a voice, we need to vote without foreign or domestic interference. Once that's gone, elections don't matter.

I'm interested in seeing the real data here about how much they're going to lose in income taxes with all of the firings. If people aren't working, they don't spend money (which is bad for businesses) and they don't pay taxes! #DUH

Can we get this rolling? Please and hurry... please?

Agreed, but why aren't more people talking about the infiltration of "Christian" Conservative groups and funding. They want private education in order to appease those who believe the Bible should be our education and women belong in the home, subservient to men. Pro-life apparently ends at birth!

This point might seem minor at the moment, but too often when budgets need to be cut, administrative support services are seen as non-essential. Also true with regard to earmarked funds. These unsung heroes are the ones that keep the wheels turning and do the detailed work others take for granted!

"I'll take @warren.senate.gov for $1,000, Alex". I voted for her in the 2020 primary to be president, and I'd do it all over again. #WarrenOverSchumer

I just endured an 10-week brutally intrusive, labor-intensive background/clearance process to receive a CONDITIONAL employment offer as a city/county public safety dispatcher/911 operator (pending my passing of a comprehensive, intrusive 6 hr. psych eval and drug screening)! IT'S A VITAL REQ! #DUH
