Germany for Germans. I get it. How about South Africa for South Africans?

There is a definite threat of overexposure.

Do you agree that in some ways, Ambersons is better than Kane? I think the characters are more fully developed at least.

It's so ironic bc they've known about this the entire time of Biden's admin, but did nothing significantly about it and LOST bc of that!

He thinks that bc people are unfollowing him on Twitter they are leaving Twitter and coming here. When the fact is, they are unfollowing him bc his takes suck now.

So a Santa Ana. Not usually associated with winds that speed. We used to get some bad sundowners north of Santa Barbara.

Is this a remnant of a hurricane or what is causing it?

I guess that only leaves three questions:
Who's the black private dick that's a sex machine to all the chicks?
Who is the man that would risk his neck for his brother man?
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

It's a good thing I don't believe evil is hereditary. Just sayin' . . . .

Narratives always falsify in service of a story. Life isn't a story. It's a place with some periodic cathedrals.

That's not strong enough. If we need a third party, so be it. But at least expose the Dems for what they are and what they did. Learn.

One can only hope they are giving us more time to start a third party. Let's go, Bernie!

Kinda strike me that McClane didn't grow up in the suburbs though.

I see Howlin' Wolf. Who else is there? What is the occasion?

I think maybe the best word to describe Desire is misguided. I'd argue to some extent intentionally so.

It would be sooo embarrassing, especially if you had three hot chicks watching you when that happened.

The lady doing the pushups is a nice 80's fitness touch, but the continuity guy needed to work on the size of the claw a little bit better.

Well, in the case of I'm Not There, I think he's talking about Edy and his grief he can't help her. In the case of Rolling Stone, he's speaking of a woman and likely some aspect of himself as well. But they're all about shaking off the phony for the sake of the heart.

It's odd to me that people keep repeating the meme that Dylan is a complete unknown or a "story" or such. It and he's right there in his songs. You just have to listen.

Sorry, I think something that has that as its purpose is not art, it's publicity.

That actually sounds a bit like capitulation and an admission we aren't in control. An appeal to China? By tariff Trump? Odd.

I'm going to stick with my original thought on this. ACU will be good to the extent it has an insight into Dylan's art or Dylan as an artist. Otherwise, probably not. Doesn't matter how good the performances are. Even the title is troubling.
comment in response to

I've not heard a single reviewer say the movie is good. Rather, they've all said the performances of actors was. But art isn't cosplay. If there is no insight as to the art or the artist, it is a failure in my book.

The phenomenon is that people who have to actually use their insurance don't like it.

The truth is, the soundtrack is far better than the movie and better tells Billy's story. The movie comes off as fragmentary and the characters insufficiently motivated.

Classic. I think there's a studio version of this too, no?

I know others will disagree, but that Jack White record is pretty much a standard Jack White record. There are others in the top 12 that are better. But it is also interesting to note the cleave between younger and older artists in the ranking among reviewers.

Do you realize that if the tariffs now existing against Indian and Chinese evs were removed, Tesla would be out of business in two years? That's Elon's real concern. It's not bc he likes or dislikes Trump.

The science is here, now to resolve climate and energy issues. When the govt stops supporting and protecting fossilized sources and outmoded utility systems, it will happen.
