There's always SE Alaska. Though I can't help you with the mosquitoes, they're worse here.

I wish they had canceled a different, more boring, fantasy epic instead of this one.

I saw the sun for a minute on Friday. Does that count?

Only 2 months? It was raining when you were out of state too!

Have you seen this fan edit using the music of Tron: Legacy? vimeo.com/217336882

I feel like I'm at a LAN party in high school.

Is this what y'all were talking about when you said 12 factor app?

Ooh, I loooved Made for Love. Reading this!

I have nostalgia for going to the WSU extension in my hometown where they had a Mac lab and playing Marathon Infinity multiplayer in the LAN. So I’m definitely like somewhat intrigued.

Hmmm maybe we could standardize on 1 star, 4 stars, or 5 stars. Or something. But then I’d feel mean giving a 1 star.

I really struggle with star rating systems. Like I wish apps had a simple like or don’t like system. (iirc Netflix has this and I still don’t use it, so take my comment with a grain of salt.)

My secret is having a wife who drinks coffee so I can just have a sip whenever I want to enjoy the taste, but don’t actually want to feel like garbage due to caffeine intake.

I thought Metroid Prime Remastered felt great on Switch. Could always start there.

Our house in Portland had an ice maker, but it'd always melt, then refreeze into a solid block on the bottom so the dispenser wouldn't work. Then the whole thing just started leaking water so we had to stop using the water part too.

Frick, I love a good nacho conversation and nacho.

Clearly Southeast Alaska isn’t part of Alaska Proper.

I use Fastmail and it’s been fine. I do see a fair amount of spam leaking through though. The CEO of proton praised Tump in a tweet heads.social/@fogelnet/11... But also, Fastmail hasn’t been great on labor, even though they’re unionized. union.place/@fastmailuni...

That made me think of the mini game pod in eXistenZ.

Also a Ohura’s fan dance. We rewatched Sub Rosa not too long ago and honestly I thought it was kinda fun.

I’ve been getting a lot on my Fastmail account too. Lots of fake PayPal invoices that don’t get caught.

Ok, so you need to watch Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Flipboard announced an app for this about.surf.social seems light on details though. Also I think the new version of Reeder (Mac and iOS only) can aggregate mastodon, and bluesky with RSS, but I don’t see anything about posting from it.

Maybe they meant to play Klaus Nomi’s “Simple Man” but made a mistake.

When people cross post it always makes me wonder which account is cannon and whether or not it’s ok to unfollow in one platform in favor of the other.

I forgot that it had that in it!

There isn’t even HD Star Trek DS9!

Anyone who’s seen Jurassic Park knows that mathematicians are cool.

Not specifically about The Bear, maybe more about White Lotus or The Curse. Sometimes I wonder if people think that if a show makes them feel uncomfortable then it’s good. But maybe it’s just cringe and we’ve forgotten than there are other feelings shows can make us feel.
comment in response to post
Oh. Maybe I’m biased in favor of it because I remember you talking that palindrome back our old irc days.

I don’t understand what is so weird about it.

I played them in reverse order. And honestly I kinda think it makes sense to do that for reasons.
comment in response to post
You do have to play through it multiple times to get to the “real” ending, however.

If you’re willing to get past the fact that you play a hot android in a maid outfit, I really love Nier: Automata.

Ok, as someone who is 40, I really love the term “Oregon Trail Millennial”.
