It’s been fascinating to watch a stream of institutionally stable industries throw themselves w/ wildly enthusiastic abandon into the financial wood chipper based solely on the comically false promises of tech industry grifters who only have to claim “there’s a better way” while never delivering it.

We need answers about what happened on Alderaan and assurances from the Empire that it won’t happen again.

Did the hard rock fans who thought the Black Album get into Metallica's Load/Reload? Because there's definitely people who thought the black album was too heavy.

It's more than unfortunate. #NoKings

Ok, likely the slightly younger people will respond, but did you jump on Metallica for Load?

there’s got to be some kind of statute of limitations on this crap. I get moral hazard, I get all of that, it’s just completely insane to say that this guy who built an American life for 30 years isn’t American.

Walking around today

ok so two huge reasons

I did my best to compile as many protest safety notes as possible into a one page foldout zine! Coincidentally…it seems the file has breached containment…like it’s available for anyone to print or hand out 👀⚖️ toonyart.com/s/PSZine.pdf

Important pointers here for a weekend of big protests. Stay safe, everyone.

TACO Trump now wants to make sure his rich Republican friends have enough migrant labor for their corporations.

Last time this kind of narrow loss happened, Dem staffers scolded everyone for criticizing their bosses, claiming the entirely-predicable-in-actuarial-terms-loss of Dem votes on critical measures wouldn’t have mattered … that doesn’t seem plausible this go around.

#botaday Mach. Next from the Japan-only Micron Booster blind box collection. Turns into a Concorde SST. This design had previously been released as Jetstorm, part of the Mini-Con Air Defense Team. The Mach incarnation was available in Japan in 2003.

Democrats are obsessed with the phrase “we need answers.” Answers on what!? It’s all on film, man. There are no remaining questions.

The hallway at work is perfect for the booming voices of Chicago union guys explaining things to a building supervisor.

"ICE can end" Seen in San Francisco, California during the ongoing anti-ICE revolt.

Gonna be off work for a couple of weeks recovering, if anybody would like to help me out here's a link to my Ko-Fi ♥️ ko-fi.com/jamesotron

Try not to self destruct, the week is almost over.

Just a little guy who likes to protect his peace and collect rocks on his own.

Not much drawing today, listening to Beach Boys when I got home didn't help

Their new albums weren't selling or getting airplay. Their old label was about to release a 3rd "best of" but Love got them to come up with a new cover and call it something else. It put them back on the charts and sold a ton of copies.

Smokescreen - 1985.

American libertarians have a permanent credibility problem because one of them will be like "This is fascism, we must resist," and then the next one's like "We look forward to the tax cuts."

Feels like a good day to post this. It would've almost certainly been terrible, given the state of Hanna-Barbera in 1977.

I'm a late bloomer to checking out the Beach Boys beyond the hits, but in being a fan of oldies and especially surf music as an influence to heavy metal, I gotta say: the Beach Boys is one of the greatest stories in Rocknroll & pop music history.

Beach Boys cofounder Brian Wilson has died at the age of 82. He transformed pop music into high art, and became America's answer to The Beatles' Lennon and McCartney in the process.

Rip Brian Wilson, the greatest Beach Boy.

Can't say I ever expected an American president to authorize hundreds of millions in funding for violence against his perceived domestic enemies while refusing to help the morons who voted him in recover from natural disasters, but here we are in 2025....
