It isn't a fucking game. When you elect right-wingers, millions of people die.

"Musk’s sojourn in government has revealed severe flaws in his character — a blithe, dehumanizing cruelty, and a deadly incuriosity. This should shape how he’s seen for the rest of his public life."

New York is 1st in GDP per capita and Florida is *checks notes* 34th. Honestly we really should be trying to be like Massachusetts but y'all are afraid of colleges and libs so ...

Congress must immediately create and pass a bipartisan, stand-alone, veto-proof bill appropriating emergency funding for a bird flu vaccine. To do otherwise will, with high likelihood (it's a 'when', not an 'if'), lead to the death to millions.

Many of the Trump tariffs were blocked by the courts yesterday and reaffirmed in a separate case earlier today. Then both blocks were blocked, so tariffs are now unblocked -- but likely only for a couple of weeks. Then the courts may block them again. Lemme 'splain it all.

Amazing. Right out in the open: "universities are free to do research as long as they're sympathetic to the administration." I want to personally play this clip in the face of every fucking clown who spent the last several years pretending that the left is the "real" threat to free speech.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov It would TRULY behoove you to set up in Chicago the “DEMOCRACY & SCIENCE CENTER, that hires & funds the staff that is being let go by the CDC, NIH & elsewhere. Band the blue states together & fund their work as best as possible. THAT is demonstrable leadership.

Liberals are too soft on the mainstream media, especially the NY Times, AP, and CNN

Sane people: "Vaccine policy should be dictated by disease experts." Republicans: "Vaccine policy should be dictated by an antivax zealot turned political hack with no medical pedigree whose brain by his own admission was partially devoured by a parasite."

these new elon musk puff pieces are so access driven they wont talk about his weird baby breeding cult. i have no interest in access to the weird nazi so here's my piece from a few weeks ago. www.dailykos.com/story/2025/4...

Truth!

This is what @MarshaBlackburn & SenatorHagerty want you to believe is helping you. Snake oil salesmen. #TrumpsTrillionsTransfer

All of this is a powerful reminder that Trump is both a fuck up and a lame duck.

"The Wake Forest Class of 1861 did not choose their time of calling. The Class of 1941 did not choose. The Class of 1968 did not choose. History chose them. And now history is calling you...." -Scott Pelley He was talking to all of us.

How do we make this happen?

Medicaid cuts in the tax bill lead to health provider cost shifting that raises the premiums on private insurance. Less of our community will be insured and those that are have higher costs. Tell our Senators to vote against making care more expensive: Fetterman 215 241-1090 McCormick 202 224-6324

Learn to love being hated. Democracy depends on it.

"Why attack universities? Why attack journalism? Because ignorance works for power ... With that done, power can rewrite history with grotesque, false narratives. They can make criminals heroes and heroes criminals." trib.al/oyBvPkF

...not too subtle reminder...

she means your kids, not hers

⚖️🌎 BREAKING: A German court formally established the legal precedent that major emitters can be held liable under German civil law for climate damages in a case brought by a Peruvian farmer against German energy giant RWE.

Democrats are going to have to fight their own MAGA wing in the guise of Newsom, Rahm and Carville.

it's a coup against the Constitution. A way you can tell that it's that is that the first things they seized were GSA, the treasury's payments system and the US Marshalls service (the door keys, paychecks and building security, respectively, for federal facilities)

Suppose countries went back to requiring corporations to serve the public interest? Suppose countries went back to limiting the size of corporations, in order to preserve competition and enable smaller businesses to thrive? (Why would a functioning democracy allow anything else?)

So he raised the tariffs, paused that raise, paused that pause, then paused that pause of the pause. And no-one knows if it'll be paused again (and if such a pause will be unpaused) or what happens when (or if) the pause whose pause was paused concludes.
