I go with my my daughter, the only one of three that got hooked, most of what she has seen over the years has been shit, same for me TBH, but magic moments like todays last minute winner makes all those shit days melt away and leaving you wanting more, and she’s got that bug.

John Coates can’t see beyond his red and white scarf tails, Jon Walter’s is to him as he is to me, a club legend, I’d struggle to trust someone else to give direction; he sees JW as a winner, that will take a big loss to change, hopefully not relegation, hopefully JW comes good.

That I can’t answer, only that I stopped going Hanley because it’s attraction had burnt out, its character had gone.

There are 9 town centres within 10 miles of Hanley, 4 that are more established than any in the City, the areas in and around the City Centre are some of the poorest in the City, and that’s why I believe we are not like many other towns and cities that have a decent nightlife.

Paul Oakenfold, The Academy, March 93, what a night that was! The best dj set I’ve heard, beating sets by Graeme Park at the Hac and Sasha at Cream, to name a couple of many. I brought the live recorded mix tape from the night, it’s incredible, it’s much treasured and brings back great memories.

Regardless, I didn’t see a lack of effort, just a lack of form from what is a young team; yes they get paid well and all that but they need encouraging, imagine doing that to anyone else, especially a young man trying to do his job. Embarrassing
